EES agreement - Suppliers offer different prices, any recommendations?

Hi

 

We have had our renewal for our yearly EES agreement and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good supplier for it at the best price? We currently purchase from RM but with budgets tightening i want to make sure we get the best value for money.

 

Has anyone switched supplier for EES before at the end of a year? Is it messy or did you have any problems?

Always mention you are getting quotes elsewhere and it may also be worth getting prices for a 3 year agreement as they are quite a bit cheaper. It does not tie you to a supplier for 3 years, each year can be bought at time of renewal through a different supplier, it just ties you in for 3 years into EES. The only time it's not worth going with a 3 year is if you are going to have a significant drop in staff numbers as you cannot decrease licence numbers.

Just make sure everyone is quoting for either the EES (1yr agreement) or the OVS-ES (3 yr agreement) otherwise you will end up with different costs on different products. From what I understand, everyone gets the same cost price from Microsoft and then its down to how capitalist the reseller is. Luke @Millgate is pretty good with this sort of thing and very competitive too.

Come our next renewal I will be giving @Millgate a call. We were with Ramesys but when they were absorbed by CAPITA the renewal last year was a tad confused. I will also be getting a quote from Michael Hinchliffe our superb account manager at Misco.

Pugh did ours, Aled is really good on the MS software and saved us almost 2K on a like for like with last year.
