d0pefish Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I think me and a few of the boys need to be paying your garages a visit.....
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Whilst the mrs and daughter play lego marvel on the xbox, I play this, then when the daughter has gone to bed and the mrs and I have had our time together (we set aside 90 mins each night, just us, be it dinner, talking, cuddling etc) then I went on it.
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 also, I dial in from work and play during my lunch break, so gives me half hour of trucking, which is a 600 mile trip, so a nice little earner (or a big chunk from a longer trip)

Im sure the lag will kill it..
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 it isnt bad, reduces the FPS to around 10 FPS. Not killer, but not unplayable. Also fuel wise, I always fill up at my own stations, or if on the road, I attempt to fill up in luxembourg or poland.

featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 yeah but the fuel costs in say germany or UK, you are paying an additional 0.3- 0.7 Euros per litre, adds up to a lot over a year!
newpersn Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 i keep planning to go aboard to do jobs. But i want the big money makers jobs.. But being over level 5. Got some way from that.
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 It isn't lazy, it makes fiscal sense. I haven't taken a loan out yet either
d0pefish Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I took out an initial 80k loan which took back just over a grand a day repayments. then took out the full whack 300k loan to set up and repayments are just over 6k a day. luckily the jobs i'm doing myself are pulling in 18k a day, added with the two drivers means i'm getting about 20k a day on jobs, 2k outlay on wages/fuel and 6k repayments. plus as i had some capital already, i still have about 100k of the 300k loan in the bank, so i'm financially safe at the moment (providing i dont drive too stupid). is there a way you can pay back the loan quicker or are you set to the daily repayments? or can i just take out a payday loan to cover the 300k
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 you are set to daily repayments as far as I am aware, but I havent touched the bank yet. It takes the fun out of starting small and working up. (In my opinion)
d0pefish Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Well i am still small and working up. I worked doing the quick jobs until I had about 30k then took out a loan for 80k to get my first truck (which i actually didn't use up until yesterday). i carried on doing quick jobs until i had about 70/80k in the bank and then wanted to look at setting up for myself, so got another loan which enabled me to get the small garage upgrade, two drivers and two more trucks. plus i dont know how realistic they intend to make it, so may as well get a loan now before they raise interest rates, cripple my business and i arrive back at the garage to find bailiffs there and end up having to torch the place to claim insurance
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 haha. I just think it took the fun out (again my opinion). If I start again then I might take a loan to speed things along but meh, not really that interested. lol
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) You use a mod. Otherwise you use the trailers they give you. I modded my own, as my company is called "The Milkmen", with a tag line of "We Always Deliver" *edit* Should add the mod will change all trailers to be the same, so not really owning your own. I can't access the name of the mod at work but if I get time later will post up the name Edited January 17, 2014 by featured_spectre
newpersn Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I dunno where i got that from. I thought you could buy your own. :\
featured_spectre Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 The truck itself can be customised how you like, and it is good fun to see the designs people come up with (some get entered into competitions).
