newpersn Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 cool...new mobo and CPU required for me...it broke earlier Graphics card needed here. Using Intel hd 3000 don't have the power....
featured_spectre Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 yeh but I gotta spend £200 to get my machine up to a decent spec...you can spend a whole £50 for a 5570 and it would be good.

Is that what good for a budget? I spent £100 on a 2nd hand Asus motherboard and and 2nd gen i5. Took the ram out of my old comp. (8gb) What's up with yours?
d0pefish Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 got docked £430 for this "collision".....bloody foreign drivers and their dodgy insurance rules
featured_spectre Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Whats up with mine is the cpu burned out entirely, leaving scorch marks on the mobo. The RAM works as I tested it in my brothers machine, so yeah...new CPU and MOBO...got £200(maybe £250) to spend. Also, for you...Asus HD 6670 2GB DDR3 VGA DVI HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card | Ebuyer.com And @Dopefish I was docked £800 for a collision which involved me slightly scraping the cab as I made a turn to park the trailer!!
d0pefish Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) At least you actually touched something. I stopped before touching him, so obviously the thought police are in effect around Duisberg instead. Although saying that the next run after that saw me get to about 20% damage due to a few high speed dismounts.......but no rolling the trailer, just coming off on the grass verge....after trying to overtake three other trucks.......... CAM Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Errr yeah accident system is a bit dodgy in this game. My first session and I went into a roundabout and got docked after someone went barrelling into me from the left and didn't give way.
featured_spectre Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 That said I played on my laptop last night...cant run a single mod so had to start a new game. Started in Cambridge, its a nice drive to felixstowe and liverpool.

featured_spectre Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 massively so. It is vastly superior to the onboard chips, you should be able to play this on high settings without an issue (I was playing on a 5770 without issue)
featured_spectre Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Also, my save last night bumped me to level 2, wish I could have copied my mod save!
d0pefish Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 which mods do you recommend? i'm not bothered about truck decals etc at the moment, so things more like the physics, maps, weather, graphics would be good to try out.

And I cannot stress this enough, back everything up before modding!
featured_spectre Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I should add, I have the streamline mod, and the coca cola trailer, which is nice to have on. I am looking at making my own trailer skins so that I can have my own company name/logo etc as I see fit on the trailer

featured_spectre Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 it is, but rarely on sale, so may be worth buying from the company, as you get unlimited amounts of activations then.
