pooley Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Our LA along with Welsh Government have offered us some NEwline RS touch screens, before we jump in and buy a few has anyone got any experience using these? We would probably put an OPS unit inside them. They good enough for teachers to write on without complaining ? Thanks Simon
Oaktech Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Yes... I've got 2, the staff love them. They can present from a variety of devices to them, the picture is sharp (sharper than a Smartboard MX), the speakers are loud and of reasonable quality. The config options, such as home screen wallpaper, on and off timers and connectivity are good, they're pretty hard to beat. My only complaint is that the bracket we got with ours is a bit bouncier than we'd like, you may get a different bracket. 2
3s-gtech Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 We're also looking at them, so appreciate the feedback. I'd imagine generic heavy duty brackets from Amazon would be fine.

I've not had one of the Amazon brackets. The best ones we've had so far have been the 65" upwards Clevertouch brakets, man, those things are made of some proper metal!
Scan099 Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Hi, have you connected these to your network and have you setup the remote management? We have just had 30 delivered.

They are connected to the network for downloading updates and for wireless display, but we only have 5 of them so we haven't bothered with the remote management.
chazzy2501 Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 I have the Newline RS+ they have a pretty severe issue: The polling rate for the touch / pen input is HALF the refresh rate. if you can't send 4k60p image to it (which most cables and laptops can't) most likely it'll send 4k30 and the touch input is poor and the pen input is all but broken. Newline don't consider this an issue. I've had to buy HDMI EDID emulators to force 1080p/60 from the laptops so the inputs work well. But the finger/pen/palm works very well when using OneNote. (providing a 60p image for a 30hz polling rate)
