I am trying to deploy a reference image to a set of new laptops, but I cannot get the deployment to work unattended! I have created the reference image using a VM, sysprep'd, captured using WDS...all ok. I have created 2 unattend files, the first one specifying the language and formatrting/partitioning the disc and the second one for the OOBE. That one is attached here. I have tweaked many settings and used files found through googling, and even used bits from different sources but it always sticks at the "Enter your Microsoft account details" (or words to that effect) screen. My reference image is Win8.1 with all the required programs loaded, WDS is running on Server2012R2. Can anyone see what I have done wrong? Thanks in anticipation! (Ignore the language discrepancy where I put en-us as this was just another experiment. I have tried all en-gb too) oobeunattend.txt

Hi all, Does anyone know of any unattend.xml generators? the benosullivan.co.uk one seems to have disappeared unless someone can send me it please? Cheers!

Does it really stand for Unfathomably Evil F* Idea? Got some new SSD laptops that will take an image deployed via WDS using legacy with no problem. Unfortunately it seems like I can't use Bitlocker with them unless they're UEFI. So I've reset the BIOS, used the UEFI Deploy boot image I created so long ago that I can't remember why it's different, found out I'm missing some partitioning lines from my unattend.xml which I've corrected (I think), and I still get this error message when it tries to install the image: Windows could not set a partition active on disk 0. The target disk, partition or Volume does not support the specified operation. The error occurred while applying the unattend answer file's setting. Error code: 0x80500024. Googling finds suggestions to remove other disks (there aren't any). Anyone got any ideas? I may just use Veracrypt...

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has had any luck in creating an unattended install of PTC ProDesktop 8? I have the MSI and can install it using /qb however I can't seem to find any information on specifying the User Name and Registered organization properties? Does anyone know how to specify these attributes using a command line install? Thank you, William edit:

So I updated the windows 8 image to 8.1. Updated the unattained file and went to image a machine to test that the imaged worked and it comes up with an error message. "windows can not install required files. Make sure all the files required for instillation are available and restart instillation" I looked around a few places said it could be the ram so i tried it with new ram and still no luck. I am at a lost here and would greatly appreciate anyone who has any help on my sticky situation. Thanks Guys Connor McKenzie IT Technician Peterborough

i made an unattend.xml, i used vmware and virtualbox to mount my iso and works perfectly i format my virtual pc,then i run my install and i dont need to put any information because y put it on the unattend.xml file, so i tought everything was perfect and i decide to try in a real pc, everything was perfect, i format the pc, but WHEN I CLICK IN INSTALL, DONT WORK MY UNATTEND BECAUSE WINDOWS ASK ME ALL THE INFORMATION THAT I DONT HAVE TO PUT BECAUSE SUPPOSE IT IS IN UNATTEND.XML FILE, SO I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPEN PLEASE HELP ME.

My Unattend.xml file keeps causing an error after the machine is booted back up. The error says that it cannot load the unattend.xml, due to settings. Can someone help me fix this code?
