We have recently had a managed system installed so we're selling our old independent access points. There are twenty, so they'd be ideal for a primary school or small secondary who can't justify a managed solution just yet. The full datasheet is here but to summarise: Simultaneous a, b and g support Rogue AP detection and alerting QoS support 4 simultaneous SSIDs SNMPv3 RADIUS support with WPA2 encryption On board packet filtering, spanning tree, broadcast storm protection and protocol filtering The boss has a price of £500 in mind for the lot, but offers welcome - PM me if you want to. We're unlikely to sell them individually because they work well together and the job lot would make more sense for a school. Buyer to pay reasonable carriage.

Hello All, I am trying to set up a demo project and having a problem in one of the basic steps. Here is my set-up : To achieve the desired function in the shown topology, what options do I have? 1. I think a VPN connection between the two DSL modems can resolve the situation. If this is true, what modem should I use to establish a site to site vpn? (cannot afford router devices, it is why I want to use ADSL modem to achieve this) 2. I feel I need to use some type of Point to Point connection between the two system but how is that possible? Since there is no leased line, hdlc or framerealay here (only internet) what can I do? 3. IF I put the AP and AC as DMZ devices in each modem, can they communicate between each other with the real ip numbers? (I am unsure about it) I am really in need of some comments here. Thanks in advance.

Ok, Quick question, I work in a High School and ive been asked to research into setting up Guest Access on are wireless for users that don't work in are school and things like Iphones etc without having to give out the WEP Key to teachers and such like. All I want them to have is Internet Access nothing more like file sharing etc. I've noticed the new Apple Access points can do this, AirPort Extreme Base Station - Apple Store (U.K.) (See guest access) we have Cisco Aironet 1230AG points all over the school and i was wondering if anyones had any experience in configuring them?? We are a brand new school (well 2 years old) so are tech department has pretty new equipment. I understand a VLAN would have to be setup but I admit I have no previous experience of doing this and would be grateful for any assistance! So I guess I need to configure my access points and my switches? Thanks Steve

Hi, Happy half term to all! We have just upgraded our Wifi Network and 14 of the old APs were a bit newer then the others, they are Cisco AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9, which from memory are duel band N aps. Id rather give first refusal to another school, so if your interested make us an offer, failing that we will be listing them on the school's eBay account. We are in Essex near Chelmsford Thanks
