HP 5412zl How can I see what MAC address is attached to the port please?

I have a couple of ports on a switch that are showing as connected but showing speed of 10FDx. Is there any easy way to find out what is at the other end of that port? Could it be a PC which is switched off but has WOL enabled? Would this show as 10FDx?

It's an early flight and there's 5 of us so not possible to get someone to drop us. Will check the website.

Not necessarily looking for cheaper but wanted to know if they are trustworthy to leave your car and keys with.

Flying to Barcelona from Gatwick in August and need to park my car at the Airport. It's an early flight so no option but to take the car and I have 4 family members with me.The cheaper option seems to be APH meet and greet car parks where they take your keys and park your car for you. Anyone had any experience of these?

As a growing MAT we are moving away from SAGE and have Hoge 100 coming in do present their offering to us. Any views on Hoge? Good or bad.

I've just tried on my windows 10 laptop at home and it connects fine and I can use the remote apps. It seems to be certain machines so has to be update related but the test machine that doesnt work is definitely upto date with updates.

Yeh I made sure both ends were patched. With the CredSSP you get a more specific error.

Our Governors are concerned about sensitive data being downloaded onto mobile devices. It has been suggested by one of them that an MDM App will delete data if the device is stolen or the person leaves the School. Is this true? If I receive an email from another member of Staff with an attachment and then save that attachment on my phone can the document be deleted remotely if I lose the phone or leave my employment?

We have been asked to look at MobileIron Does anyone have any experience with this MDM? We use G Suite so wondering if this is worth paying for or whether the inbuilt MDM in G Suite will suffice?

Yes, internally its fine connecting via the same page. If you mean the CredSSP updates then yes I have done those on the server and the external client machine I am using to test. - - - Updated - - - The Remote Apps work fine externally from my Android phone so it's related to Windows.

Have deployed Remote Apps for a while now and all been working fine. Suddenly users are reporting an error when they try to connect to any remote app from outside the School Anyone got any ideas on this?

@JohnJackson - at the Conference you announced that LGfL Schools would get an increase in broadband speeds once you had negotiated with Virgin. Are you in a position now to give any further info on this?

We get them to sign a paper copy. We also use NetSupport DNA to occasionally bring it up on screen and they have to click 'Accept' before they can login.

Not knowing anything about Exchange here. When a user mailbox is created the email field is populated with the email address of the user. So if Exchange doesn't use that field can I alter that field and it has no affect on Exchange? If I changed the content of the email field in AD from [email protected] to [email protected] would emails still get to [email protected]?

Will that change the actual name displayed in the AD email field? That is the end goal here so I can use that info with Google cloud Directory Sync.

It's not for changing domains. Its to remove the numbers attached to users email addresses. Same domain, just [email protected] becomes [email protected]

On-site exchange. When a new exchange mailbox is created the users AD details get updated with an address in the email field, yes? If I wanted to change someones email address from [email protected] to [email protected] but keep jbloggs34 as an alias so any emails sent to that old address are not lost is it possible? Also if it is possible will the address in the email field in AD also change to reflect the new address? Sorry if it's a really simple question but I know next to zero about Exchange.

We have a couple of Jam speakers in our Primary School which the Head would like to play music to using Windows Media Player. I can get streaming working using Media player when logged in as local admin but when logged in as a standard user the "play to" streaming fails with " Failed to retrieve media information from media server" Anyone any ideas?
