Free Certificated Online Training for "Prevent" and "Channel Awareness"
fiza replied to elsiegee40's topic in e-Safety
We did the above Prevent training for all staff. Just be aware that all the video content is hosted on Vimeo. If you block vimeo you will have to allow each individual video, we did this with Smoothwall. -

@ass17 . I have downloaded the latest version 2.1.7.0. I have enabled the spellcheck in the config file but when I run Exam WritePad the option for spellcheck doesn't appear and F7 does nothing. Have I missed something? Enabling Bold/italic/Underline in same config file seems to work fine.

We use Salamander to auto provision Google Classrooms for us. The sync from SIMS to Google happens every night but we have a couple of students who say they cannot do their homework because they cannot see their classes in Google Classroom. We have a suspicion that they are un-enrolling themselves from the Classroom but obviously the next day the classroom is back there as Salamander has added it back. Without proof we can't do anything. Is there any way to find out if they did un-enroll themselves?

I wanted to have a central folder where staff could dump fonts that they want installed and then the script picks them up and installs them.

Android Tablet Management - GSuite MDM
fiza replied to ITGuyWestMidlands's topic in Network and Classroom Management
With G Suite Education you can manage Android Devices by setting up Work Profiles on them. You cannot set them up as company owned where all Apps are controlled by you rather than the user. The work profile is like a sandboxed area on the device where you can deploy Apps that you want users to use. -

Been using Papercut for many years. Staff use Mifare cards and students use release stations with it. Never had any issues with it and it does everything we want it to do.

Old thread I know but is anyone using Google App Maker in their School with Students? If so how is it?
-
I can't remember where I set it. On leave today will check Monday
-
Ours is set to 15 minutes inactivity and it gets disconnected. Warning at 10.

Does anyone have any experience of embedding Papercut MF with Canon Copiers? Canon don't deal with papercut themselves so directed us to another company who want to charge £100 per device. Is it something I can do myself?

As long as the group/distribution group has an email address in AD it will get created and maintained when you make changes to the membership of the group in AD.. Just tick the groups box in gcds
-
We don't do it but as far as I know you tell gcds in the proxy address attribute field which attribute in AD contains the alias address and it gets added as an alias in g suite.
-
If you have G Suite then you can approve videos so only those that are approved can be viewed

So which bits were different on your GCDS?

So according to that screenshot GCDS is looking at an OU called "Email Homepage" and looking for users and OUs under that. Is that correct?
