I am playing the FreePBX (without SIP channels) and I have been getting quotes for both on-premise and hosted solutions.

In that case I am getting wrong info from supplier. I was told by the supplier that for their system I needed a SIP channel for each handset if I wanted to utilise the bundled calls on it. If I had 15 SIP Channels then they would be allocated to 15 handsets and only they could use the bundled minutes.

If those 15 SIP Channels come with bundled calls should any of the 75 handsets be able to utilise the bundled minutes?

I am a little confused with what I am being told by resellers so I wondered if someone here without a vested interest in selling me something could explain; I need 75 phones in the School. I would like the ability to have at least 15 simultaneous external calls (either incoming or outgoing) at the same time from any 15 of the 75 handsets. I need around 15 Direct Dial In numbers. What do I need SIP wise? Do I need a SIP channel for each phone or is 15 that I need?

Gmail, just set up a regular gsuite account with a complicated password, login as that user, go to account settings and set up delegated access by going to "grant access to my account". Choose which accounts you want to give delegated access to and they will receive a confirmation email asking them to accept the delegation. They then have access from their account to this one. It opens in another tab for them so their email account is kept separate.

We set up an office@ account and then each member of office staff have their own account but get delegated access to the office account.

Specops should be able to do it.

Can you not check the status of the disks with iLO?

The Groupcall website seems to be down. Anyone tried to get hold of them? I get 'page not found'. https://www.groupcall.com/ https://support.groupcall.com/

Does anyone who uses MintClass know how to make the default 12x12 template larger? We have a couple of rooms that just won't fit into that size. Getting hold of or getting a quick response from MintClass support seems impossible. Phone them and they say please email. Email and don't get a response for over 24 hours. Our first few days with MintClass and so far I am not impressed with their support.

Personnel maybe?

Not sure, they have been in my cupboard for about 2 years. I'll leave them as they are.

Thanks. Just amended the XML file with those details and then reset the phone. Still comes up with "date, time" & "extension No" on the display.

Sorry this is what I was asking, where am I putting in the name for the remote phone so the local phone knows who is calling? Also I want the lcd display on each phone to show a number and a location. At the moment it shows date,time and extension number.

@FN-GM once this is set where does the Remote Party ID header come from? Where do I tell it that this extension is for room 101?

So now i have 2 cisco phones working and I am able to dial from one to the other. At the moment the display on the phones shows the date and time along with the extension number. I would like it to display the persons name or a location ie Study Room. How do I do that please?

Not more than 8? That's probably why it wasn't working in the first place as I let freepbx generate the secret to begin with. I have only set 1 phone up so far. Got busy with other things. Will set up another tomorrow. Not got a sip trunk so it's all internal only at the moment, like an intercom system.

Do they need 8 char passwords? I used pjsip and 7 char password.

After a few reboots the phone has registered and I have a dial tone!! Not sure why it didn't register first time though.

@FN-GM - Do you have a working cnf.xml file that I could take a look at please? I am missing something because the phone will not register even with a matching extension created in FreePBX.

Can't say we get that many. Handful at the beginning of term normally and the usual time wasters who just want to get out of lesson on the pretext of coming over to IT Support.

Does anyone know if I have to pre-create an extension in FreePBX for the phone to register against it? The phone has picked up the firmware correctly, its just not registering so something is amiss with the cnf.xml file.

It was working, I was just using the wrong login !!! Managed to upload everything. Reset one phone and saw it pick up the XML file but it still comes up as "phone is not registered". I must be missing a setting in the file.
