Not heard of Easy4U, is the agreement for rental/purchase directly between Easy4U and the parent so that the school has no financial burden? I believe with Freedomtech the agreement is with the schools rather than directly with the parents.

We use Edulink to email parents. Edulink can do loads more too. https://www.overnetdata.com/edulink-one/.

Start using GAM https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-XTD3 Command Guide: https://sites.google.com/jis.edu.bn/gam-commands/home You can then use GAM to add yourself into any Google Classroom and leave when you are finished needing to be in the classroom. GAM allows you to do so much in Google workspace. We couldnt do without it.

[closed] ios app: iOS app not working for me
fiza replied to Norphy's topic in EduGeek.net Site Problems
Same here -
We originally looked at https://admiralsecurity.co.uk/school-lockdown-systems/ Axis PA, and Bodet. Bodet was too expensive for us and they did not do wiring so we would have had to get a seperate quote for wiring. The Admiral system was just an alarm and seemed cost effective and also worked over wifi. In the end we opted for https://www.axis.com/solutions/public-address-system as it could then be used for general announcements too as well as lockdown messages.

As per my input on your thread, I did not.

Google Workspace - GMail - changing 'Mail Relay' (currently LGfL)
fiza replied to Koldov's topic in Cloud Services
yes but I can't get the LGfL mail relay to work on FSRM either! LGfL gave up trying to help me! edit: I should say I gave up in the end as I wasn't getting anywhere. As we use Smoothwall they seemed to think something our end was blocking the traffic. -
Google Workspace - GMail - changing 'Mail Relay' (currently LGfL)

Watching this with interest as I have been unsuccessful getting FSRM to email using Gmail. -
I’ve checked and I then set it to 90% and did a simulation but the same result. It did not detect disabled AD accounts and so did not say it was going to suspend any google accounts.

I don't know what's going on! I have tried putting in a second rule with the same syntax you had and with one less bracket but I get the "unbalanced Parenthesis" error I posted earlier. If I put in the extra bracket then there is no error but gives 0 results.
-
So the existing filter has always had the extra bracket ) at the end and has always been like that. If i put in the expression the same as yours without the extra bracket then I get the syntax error as in my previous screenshot. It just doesnt make sense to me that it seems to work for you but not for me! With the extra bracket I get results returned.
-
That's strange because when I use the same syntax as your screenshot I get an error. If I add in another close bracket at the end then the syntax is accepted but when testing it returns 0 users.
-
@RLR - Can you post the syntax you have to suspend Google accounts if disabled in AD? My Googling is only bringing up the same syntax I already have but that doesnt make sense.

We have been using Google Cloud Directory Sync since 2015 and it has always worked really well. It always only looked at active users in Active Directory and any that were disabled in AD would then get suspended in Google. Recently any disabled used in AD no longer get suspended in Google. Below is the rule we have in place. The rule matches what Google say will return only active users from AD. https://support.google.com/a/answer/6126589#zippy=%2Cspecific-ldap-queries All active (not disabled) users that have email addresses in Active Directory(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(mail=*)(!(userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2))) Any pointers would be most welcome.

SchoolCloud /Roombooking have an outage in case this helps anyone
fiza replied to robintech's topic in Cloud Services
I tried to use the School Cloud SIMS Sync tool yesterday and it seems to be acting weird. In step 4 of the process it is picking up the staff names from SIMS but not their email addresses which we have in SIMS. It is then telling me that these staff details to not match in School Cloud because in School Cloud we have their email addresses registered from previous syncs. Never seen this before. If you are using SIMS did your sync run ok? -
SchoolCloud /Roombooking have an outage in case this helps anyone

Anyone done a Parents' Evening with School Cloud since this trouble started? We have one in a few weeks and just wanted to see if their systems are working. -
I can confirm that the join button is missing when signed in with our Google Workspace for Education accounts. If I open a guest window I can then see the join button.

We have the same issue, working for some but not for others. -
I have never paid for any youtube content so not sure if this relates but have you marked your Google OUs as containing under 18 year olds and over 18 year old users? It may be a restriction of an OU that is marked as containing under 18yr old users. edit: Just reread your post so ignore this!

We have them enrolled in a Google Workspace for Education domain and each user logs in with their Google email address and password. You would need a Google management licence for this per device.
-
We are getting the same, also with LGfL and have raised a ticket. I agree with the slow response times of late.

Transaceivers - Original vs Compatible - Thoughts
fiza replied to maxrebo's topic in How do you do....it?
I've used https://www.fs.com/uk transceivers for years. Only every had one issue and they sent a replacement transceiver out quickly. -
resurrecting this thread. Anyone started using Google Classroom Practice Sets in their School? What is the consensus that it works well?
-
That would be perfect!
