  1. Thank you so much for that, it looks like this will have to be the route we take as there isn't a feature parity between AD/AAD vs GSuite integrations with regards to groups
  2. Yes, we do use SalamanderSoft, and we were hoping that Google Groups created from AD groups created by Salamandersoft (such as class groups) would be available for selection in the Adobe Admin Console, but it looks like we may need to go back to the source and use the User Sync Tool from Adobe and pull them from AD directly. Not a terrible state of affairs since they are effectively the same, but annoying that they didn't put the effort into GSuite integration that they put into AD and AAD integration.
  3. Do you use GSuite for Education? If so then you can keep it simple by forcing logging into Chrome, restricting the domains they can login as to your own, and then the rest of the administration is in Google Admin
  4. Following with keen interest as we are in exactly the same situation
  5. Has anyone found a reasonable Google GSuite solution, we have the link in place, but it doesn't integrate with groups in the same way that Azure AD does, and so the only way to maintain groups in Adobe is regular manual CSV imports ... less than ideal. Any thoughts appreciated.
  6. Sorry, nothing springs to mind, if I have any sudden flashbacks I'll let you know.
  7. Apologies, as per the previously mentioned methods, I believe it was the 'Help' button for 10 seconds, a typo on my part in my previous response.
  8. This is the point that I have reached, have you had any success in finding a service that will allow the purchase of tracks as a school in its entirety?
  9. We moved from Equitrac to PaperCut and have been happier with it
  10. Sorry, never had to deal with DesFare, this was purely created out of necessity. On a side note, the person who manages the Inventry backend now simply ticks the box to automatically enroll the card, and when the user uses touch screen to login for the first time it point out they don't have a card registered and asks them to swipe their card removing the need to know or translate/convert the card number.
  11. One of my colleagues had some time to look at the issue and seemed to narrow it down on our sites to the following ... "After some digging, it appears that the '0x80070057' error experienced at most sites seems to be related to "Point and Print Restrictions". After disabling point and print restrictions in Group Policy in the computer policy (Computer Settings>Policy>Administrative Templates>Printers>Point and Print Restrictions = Disabled), no error is received and the printers get mapped consistently at first login. Without it, printer mapping is inconsistent and usually applies after a few minutes or at the next login." ... again, this may be specific to our configuration, but if your symptoms and the associated error code match you may wish to consider it.
  12. Just in case anyone else finds there way here as this seems to be pretty high up on the Google search results, I can confirm that the 'Home' for 10 seconds works well on the NEC PA500X models also.
  13. Some tablets are very selective about the adapter used ... I tried several working with Fujitsu Stylistic R726 and found that many don't PXE boot ... I ended up with a Dell FM76N model that has worked consistently.
  14. From a ruggedness perspective the Hill Component mice are excellent ... however we have issues on plain white untextured desks in some but not all locations. I would much prefer to use them wherever I can and then have some mice that work better on the remaining surfaces to fill in the gaps as the attrition rate on non-Hills mice is atrocious.
  15. We have been told previously that viewing a live feed for monitoring purposes is a very different case to reviewing historical footage in light of an incident. When you register with the ICO you would need to explicitly state that the CCTV is being used for that purpose and it is being viewed by appropriately trained personnel in an appropriate location.
  16. Is it only the DCs that need it, i.e. do you serve up your print shares from your DC, or do you serve them up from another member server with/without that registry fix applied?
  17. However it does then give you the ammunition to say to the powers that be that this is an issue that needs to be addressed from the highest level. I recently highlighted the need for students to remember credentials to the Principal and they were happy to support my campaign to have it treated like a piece of equipment, where there are established rules and sanctions for forgetting it. If they turn up to a lesson not equipped for that lesson then they are in breach of the home school agreement.
  18. ShareScan on HP, and via Windows PC, but ultimately the staff have to provide credentials to login to SIMS each session that they scan.
  19. We use BioStore which prints directly from withing the IDManager using templates designed in IDCard, they work quite well for us so I've never had to use the Evolis software.
  20. Is that the option under Google Admin - G Suite - Settings for GMail - Advanced Settings Routing - SMTP relay service - - Allowed IP addresses edit : https://support.google.com/a/answer/176600?hl=en
  21. Little endian Hex edit 1 : or at least it is on my site (they may have the option to work with other formats) edit 2 : my colleague wrote the following to convert ... decimal value typed in B2 converted to hex in C2 using =TEXT(DEC2HEX(B2),"00000000") converted to little-endian hex in D2 using =RIGHT(C2,2)&MID(C2,5,2)&MID(C2,3,2)&LEFT(C2,2)
  22. Is that supposed to be three lines with the break at yes\\storage ?
  23. As long as I have been doing it ... so at least 18 months
  24. You're missing the store URL, is you look at @RLR 's response you'll see the additional text required
  25. MathsWatch referred me to the appropriate Smoothwall KB, and supplied my with a text file with the URLs, and the instructions appear to have worked quite well. A Smoothwall block message flashes up for a fraction of a second before the video presents itself and plays normally. The main Vimeo website remains inaccessible.
