Had some wildlife cameras sitting in the cupboard for a few years gathering dust so decided to set them up in the school's wooded areas. Got the usual pigeons and magpies but also managed to get some video of the foxes and badgers - I do have a soft spot for foxes!

For us, and probably some others, the right time to move is when the School Business Manager and Head Teacher deem it so. No matter the recommendations I make, convincing them to move from SIMS has been a fruitless task. I'm 100% for moving but its out of my hands.

I finished this awhile ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought it gave a good insight into some of the red tape our farmers have to put up with. Fingers crossed for a 2nd series.

We've got quite a few trollies dotted about the site - we tend to favour LockNCharge (for iPads) & LapCabby (for laptops). We've been using a mix of them for about 10 years and each time find the build quality to be excellent. Not had any issues with the built-in charging systems either. Have used a couple of lower quality trollies like Zioxi - they do the job but its worth paying the extra for one mentioned above as you get a cheap 'ikea' type vibe from Zioxi and the charging system usually comprises of just standard extension leads without any protection. Although, I do believe they now offer some sort of extra protection.

As mentioned in the above post, it is a business product so I at least expected them to last more than a year... Saying that, i'd think even a consumer device would last over a year. Maybe it was just that batch or particular model for the year - I can't even blame our staff, they're fairly gentle with the devices

We rolled out a dozen or so Vostro 15s a few years ago as a replacement for our ageing teacher laptops and looking back, I wish we would've gone with Lenovo. Had nothing but issues with the Dells, mostly down to build quality - issues with screens failing and charging ports. I also didn't find Dell warranty support to be all that great as we ended up having to purchase replacement parts ourselves even though they were covered under warranty. This was 3 or 4 years ago now so maybe they have improved, but it has left a sour taste and haven't brought or recommended a Dell since. Just my two cents
