Thanks, stumbled across this as you posted the reply, encase anyone else is wandering you need to disable keyboard shortcuts. It doesnt stop users from setting them but stops them from appearing when they type the trigger word.

Hi, We have our IPads managed by airwatch MDM, and students are deciding to put "funny" options in the text replacement, so when other people type a word, for example "is" it will come up as a suggested word. Anyone been able to disable this option inside of settings or a broader setting which would fix this. Thanks.
