    Hi All, We currently use ABTutor Cloud at the moment, but are looking into alternative options due to various reasons. We're looking into Impero at the moment, but obviously there's a few different alternatives out there such as Senso and NetSupport etc. I just wanted to ask what you guys are using and would recommend? Key things are: - That the console/server is cloud hosted - That the level of support for the product is good - Good on pricing Key Features: - Wake on LAN - Launch Program/Website - Send Message/Chat - Lock/Unlock Screens - Log On/Off or Shutdown/Restart multiple PCs at once.

    Hi, We've recently made the jump from shared office printers and individual printers etc. to a managed print service and now have multiple printers for sale.     Hi All, We're looking to purchase Google Sketchup Pro 2018 for 60 PC's...but the downside is that the current graphics adapter (Intel Q43/Q45 Chipset) cannot support OpenGL 3.0 - meaning Sketchup Pro 2018 will not run on it. Therefore, I'm looking for the cheapest OpenGL 3.0 compatible graphics card, but it has to be low profile, and ideally not have a large heatsink - as the Lenovo PC's we have don't give much GPU heatsink room inside, as the Hard Drive caddy is fairly large. Can anyone recommend a make/model and the best place to purchase from? I'm budgeting up to £25 inc. VAT per graphics card. Thanks.

    Thanks Clare, Currently if an HDD fails I've managed to get data off using an external dock - but that's not something to rely on I know. If there's ever a bad situation, then I'm covered as we have advised them not to save on the Desktop and it's covered in policy etc. I will try the solution posted above on a fresh account to see if it works, but I may just stick with Desktop shortcuts until the Windows 10 deployment if there's no simple and time effective solution.

    I would do, the problem is that a lot of our PC's are shared, and some users - though already advised not to, save documents to the Desktop. Last thing I'd want to do is to run Delprof2 on all the affected PC's, only to find out that people have lost their work. Again, they're advised not to, and the majority don't, but some forget or revert back to their old habits etc.

    Ah OK, That could be an issue for us then, as we're looking to deploy it to existing user accounts. Sorry, I should have made that clear from the outset.

    Thanks, We're looking to upgrade within a year or so. I would deploy Classic Shell, but Staff are currently used to the Windows Start Menu, so just wanted to try and ride this one out.

    Thanks, I just tried, but that's not worked for me. I customized the Start Menu, then went into the appdata\local\microsoft\windows folder and copied the 3 files. Then pasted them in C:\users\default\appdata\local\microsoft\windows folder, logged off and then in as another user, but it's not got the shortcuts.

    That's absolutely fine, it's only the Office 2016 Shortcuts I want to put on the tile section (what I've always called the "Top Start Menu") so because they already exist under the "All Apps" section, I presume it'll just skip making a duplicate.

    Thank you, Have you got any instructions or guides etc. for doing this? Also, does it affect the "All Apps" section of the Start Menu? or is it purely just the top half of the Start Menu?

    Thanks, I tried this, but it didn't create the shortcut in the top Start Menu (it only done it in the "all apps" section). - - - Updated - - - Thanks, I tried, but we're using Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and the GPO to push out the Start Menu .xml only works with enterprise - rather frustrating

    Hi All, I've been playing around with VBScripts, Batch/CMD and PowerShell, but just can't seem to get any of them to do what I want - and that is, to pin Office shortcuts to Start. I wondered if anyone has been able to create such a script? It's needed for Windows 8.1 and 32-bit Office Professional Plus 2016. It's not a logon script that I'm looking to create, but just a script that will add in the Office shortcuts to "All Users" Start Menu. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be very appreciative. To clarify, I'd like the shortcuts to appear on the initial Start Screen, not the "All Apps" screen.

    Hi, I've downloaded 2.1.3.5 (which I believe is the latest version)? However, I can't see the toolbar - it just doesn't appear. Also, is there a way to prevent the font size from being changed by using the CTRL + Mouse Scroll method?

    I agree, this is the main reason we didn't go for NetSupport Notify. Valcom have an app which does just this, so we're looking at their system currently.

    Yeah the physical side of security is being handled by our sites team, they've just passed onto me (the IT guy) the requirement, that is to receive notifications via Windows, Mac and iOS clients (with text message as well if possible). We're looking at Valcom currently who seem to offer this all-in-one package to meet our needs.

    Hi, Our school is looking to replace the existing lockdown system with a new one. The requirements (from the IT side of things) is the ability to send a message out to all Windows PCs, Macs and iPads. I looked at NetSupport Notify, but it unfortunately doesn't receive iOS notifications - it can only send them out. All of our pupils have a school-provided iPad which is in use or at least on them almost all the time, so it's vital that this feature is included. We'd like the system/supplier to be UK based for technical support and/or maintenance/repairs/replacement reasons etc. I'm struggling to find such a system here in the UK - the US has tons, so I wonder if anyone could recommend a system that they know of or have used/implemented?

    Hi Fiza, We actually had to relist them as the buyer was a spam account on eBay. They're now on eBay as Item Number: 112853997506 ​We actually just upgraded to the Unifi AP-AC-PRO as we've found these to work faultlessly (and are inexpensive).

    Hi All, I'm currently setting up keyword email notifications in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer and wondered if anyone had a "blacklist" of keywords already set up that I could use? Also, within the FortiAnalyzer it will only allow for 1 keyword to be entered at a time - is there a quicker way to overcome this or not? Thanks in advance.

    Hi All, Firstly, my apologies if this breaks any of the forums rules - I had a quick look around, but couldn't find any specific do's and don'ts under the Classified Adverts section. Our School has recently had a WiFi upgrade, and we now have 80+ Mixed Unifi AP's which we're looking to resell.     Hi All, Many of our staff are saying that their Apple TV's in their rooms are playing sound very quietly - as in speaking voice quiet. You can only hear the sound through the Apple TV if everyone is completely silent, and it's hard for those at the back to understand what is being said/played etc. This issue cropped up around the same time as iOS 11 and I wondered if there was any correlation? The staff/student iPads are all on iOS 11.1 and the Apple TV 3rd Generations are all on 7.2.2 We've naturally taken the following troubleshooting steps: Checked the speakers are turned up to Max Checked the volume is Max on the Apple TV Checked the volume is Max on the iPad (when mirroring) Changed the Apple TV over for another one Changed the sound cables But nothing as yet has made the slightest difference. Is anyone else having the same or similar issues?

    Hmm, It's working fine for us - we've even got a couple Windows 10 x64 PC's running Starboard 8.11 We get the usual "Black Ice Dev" error message which we got on Windows 8.1 but there's never been an issue for us.
