It's possible to add it to the dock, if you have a group of students for example, in the preferences of that group, add the share to the dock -> items. We have 5 or 6 shared folders on our dock, including one Windows share.

I must have thousands of posts in here. Having so many problems at the moment We have 3 identical art suites. All made with the same image running OS X Leopard 10.5.6 on all machines and OS X Server 10.5.6 on our XServe. One of these machines works perfectly no matter, as long as its allowed. Two of the machines seem to almost argue about who's going to be able to run the HP scanning software. If I allow it on one of the machines, the second of the two won't be allowed to run it. If I allow it on the second of the two machines, the first won't be able to run the software. I add permissions to Workgroup Manager by running connecting to Workgroup Manager from the client machine through the Server Admin package. Then drag and drop the application into the User Groups Preferences on Workgroup Manager. I've tried not signing the software. I've tried updating the software. I'm not sure what else to try now. It's the fact the third of these three machines works, no matter which of the other two machines I add the HP software on, which confuses me and makes me think it not to do with versions of the software.

Are there any internet browsers that can pull down preferences from Workgroup Manager which isn't Safari? We have two home pages for staff and students therefore the preferences need to be pulled down to match what WGM Group they are in. Safari just seems to be a bad internet browser and is cause a fair amount of annoyance. What web browsers does everyone else use? I've tried Firefox, Campino and about to try Opera, however Opera looks disgusting and very tempted to skip trying it.

I got Unreal Tournament Gold Edition running just about alright in it. Graphics were low, but Ran smoothly Sound hardly worked after a while, but I didnt need that on the train to London =D

We've pushed out Open Office to all our machines. I don't think students actually know what it is however. I wish they would use it more, I love it. However at the moment I'm the guinea pig for testing office 2007, I hate it. If I knew how to lock down Linux i'd put that on every pc.

to much traffic causing lost data, could that be an issue? If that is a problem, then a hardware upgrade might be expensive. I know almost nothing about this however, so its a very long shot in the dark.

I'm not sure if this is a genuine problem or just moaning staff, but we've recently had someone put on a maintenance kit on our HP Laserjet 5100, and they said they had to reset all the settings to default. Now the staff in the main office are complaining when tray 3, containing normal plain paper, is empty it automatically starting printing from tray 2, containing letter head. Is there a way of preventing this change? Thanks in anticipation.

Facebook and Myspace Myspace is brilliant for advertising my band locally and even got us gigs in places like Manchester Academy. Use Facebook more for communicating with friends, although its recently turned completely s:censored:t and wants to be twatter. I hate the new look. All my friends hate the new look. They should put it back to how it was. Although I turned my facebook into "Pirate Language" which is AWESOME!

Just tried the Keychain Minder. So far so good! Only tried it on one machine on one user for now but it is looking good.

I understand now, thanks DMcCoy I'll try the Keychain Minder out and see if it helps with some of the problems we are having here.

I'm thinking because the Offspring played Donnington last year, they would be back in America doing what they do best. I could be wrong. I heard they were really good last year at Donnington so if they are playing your in for a treat.

I don't understand, when we have had the problems with the keychain, I allowed the keychain utility in WGM and unlocked, but I've had to use the first admin password, not the first user password. We set all the passwords to the same thing and prompted the users to change the password on login. However not all users have the problem.
