  1. How bizarre. I've just had the same thing today. Mine was installed on an old 2012R2 server and I've now installed it on my laptop. I deactivated it on the old server and tried to activate on my laptop but it wouldn't because it said it was activated elsewhere. I can't reactivate it on my old server either as this now says the same! Please can you let me know how to deactivate or how I can get another activation code?
  2. Hi Benzini00 I'm guessing as you have not posted since Feb on this that you have still not heard anything from MS? We are also having the problem now.
  3. Yes we had (past tense) TextHelp but found an awful lot of problems with it and so have sacked it off. Hence why wanting something within EWP.
  4. Hi, is there the facility to have a text to speech reader built into EWP? My SENDCO has been using it for the recent mocks and loved it but has increasing requests for a pupil to be able to write stuff into a Word Processor and then click a button to have it read it back to them. Would this be a big request to have something like this?
  5. We had the exact same problem. Logged a call with MS in the end and they said the try the following which worked compltely for us: Right click the PowerPnt.exe file and click Troublshoot Compatibility then Troubleshoot Program. Check "The program opens but does not display correctly". On next page check "Program does not display correctly when large scale fonts are selected". Test the program. If it works then click "Yes, save these settings for this program". I don't know what it changes in the background but it definitely worked on our screens.
  6. If I am upgrading from 2.5.0 to 2.6.0, what files do I need to replace? I guess the .exe.config isn't one of them?! Or do I need to generate the config file each time?
  7. Thanks. That's fine but it just makes it hard to find when you come to this thread and then have to start trawling through 70+ pages (especially if you don't know what the text is to search for!) Having it on the OP would make it a lot easier!!
  8. What's the latest version that is downloadable? Is it possible to put this in the OP so it's easy to find?
  9. Reference Number: 169072 Required from September 2019 We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic individual as a teacher of Computing and ICT. The Business & Computing Department is well-resourced at Balshaw’s. There are classrooms with ICT suites in them as well as specialist computers in classrooms such as Design Technology along with bookable laptops. Each teacher at Balshaw’s is also issued with their own laptop computer. We are looking to recruit the best teacher possible to this role whether they are an NQT or an experienced teacher looking for the opportunity to work in an outstanding school with a reputation for excellence in South Ribble. The role is initially a 12 month contract whilst a review of the structure of the department takes place. The Department offers GCSE Computer Science at KS4 as well as GCSE Business. Computer Science is a popular option for students and all students study Computing throughout KS3 where they are taught for 3 hours over a fortnight. Balshaw’s is the Hub School for the Computing At Schools (CAS) network for the Chorley and South Ribble school districts and prides itself on driving the subject forward. The school is fortunate to have good links with Microsoft UK through one of the members of the governing body who is a senior employee of the Microsoft Corporation. The ICT infrastructure is extremely well-supported by the Network Team under the direction of the Network Manager. There is Wi-Fi throughout the school; the network is highly stable and the school is looking to use Microsoft cloud services as part of Office 365 to store staff and student work. Staff are able to access all school services via remote application services. Please note that the school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. 10. another +1 for NetSupport DNA. Great product and can do so much more than we have figured so far. Great Remote Control product (inc remote registry editor) Great e-safety product Great Inventory product Great Software Distribution product Not got to grips with NetSupport School yet - needs quite a bit of setting up/deploying. Not deployed NetSupport Notify yet as we are using InTouch but am going to move across to NSN. Great support.
  11. Hi, I am after a way of directing Students to a different Start Menu and Desktop depending on whether they log onto a Windows10 machine or a Windows7 machine. I have setup different GPOs for Win7 and Win10 with the redirected folders in. Would identifying the OS by a WMI filter and thus applying the correct GPO be the best way of doing this? And would I need to create a WMI filter for Win10 and one for Win7 and apply them both to the top level Students OU? Thanks
