Technical Bootcamp for ICT Service Providers: Register here Join us at Google for a training day centred on honing Google support services for schools. James from Google here. To confirm what some on the thread have said, Chrome Education licenses are £19. They are perpetual licenses that last for the life of the device. Licenses cannot be transferred between devices, unless the schools is placing a defective device with the same make/model device. As you may know, the G Suite Administrator exam has recently been refreshed and relaunched. It is now open in beta... we hope you'll give it a go! To earn this certification you must pass the Google Cloud Certified - G Suite Administrator exam. This exam has no prerequisites. The format is performance-based and is available in English. For those keen to learn more about international data transfers, please see this Blog post, which details the European Union’s Data Protection Authorities confirmation that Google Cloud services’ contractual commitments fully meet the requirements to legally frame transfers of data from the EU to the rest of the world, in accordance with EU Data Protection Directive. In addition, this GDPR page includes additional resources/information and is updated often. For those interested in diving deeper, I would encourage you to register for the first Google for Education Privacy & Security Summit hosted at our Victoria Offices in November.

The team is hoping to identify schools and teachers who will pilot these tools, provide honest feedback about the product and functionality, and keep the details of the pilot confidential. If students have G Suite accounts, you can push out Chrome apps (such as O365 Chrome apps) and extensions within the user settings in the admin console: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/2657289?hl=en. Should be easy and instantaneous. You can also use managed bookmarks in Chrome user settings to this end. If students do not have a G Suite Account but are using Chromebooks to access the web/O365, consider setting up a public session kiosk with certain Chrome apps pushed/pinned as a part of the kiosk settings.
