We only went from 4.02 to 4.03, and luckily before anyone here had actually started using it. I particularly like how the 4.02 .exe has a version umber of 4.0.2.6 while the 4.03 .exe has a version number of 4.0.2.4 (yes, you read that right). This means if you make your own .msi (because the company apparently can't be bothered to make one any more) an upgrade install will screw up because it thinks it's installing an older version. I'm just glad its not expensive, or I'd be more annoyed.

Check to see if you have this GPO setting enabled: Computer Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates/System/Logon > Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon If not, enable it and see if it makes any difference. Might also be worth looking at: Computer Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates/System/User Profiles > Do not log users on with temporary profiles It won't fix the underlying problem but it could help alleviate the symptoms.

I'm fairly sure this is a driver problem. Is it just that make/model of printer that is affected?

Could try the old freezer trick but it's unlikely to stay cold for enough time to get 16GB off of it.

Check how high CSNM can set the PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize) - that will probably be the limiting factor for video uploads regardless of whether it's Joomla or Wordpress.

We use it as part of our Google Apps for Education setup. When you use it as part of Apps, it's the easiest cloud storage solution for administrators to manage in my opinion. I can very quickly reset a password in the admin console to get access to an account if necessary, and you can restrict sharing to accounts that are part of your Apps domain. Now that people are used to it, it's also a very quick route to transferring files to/from iPads. Port 80? Are you sure? That's the port for HTTP. If it's working on port 80 your mail server has the oddest setup I've ever seen.

Just use your MX (which you've found) on the standard SMTP port (25) and no authentication. Incoming mail servers must by design accept unauthenticated mail addressed to their own mailboxes, or everyone who emailed you would have to have a username and password for your mail server.

There is no going back - you've been upgraded to the latest version of Office 365. You should have had several email notifications in advance of this. If you didn't, you need to find out where those notifications are being sent so that you get them in future. Check here using your Office 365 admin credentials. Past recipient history being lost doesn't surprise me, but isn't something I'm aware of. IIRC the kit includes a replacement fuser, which is worth doing and has something like a 200,000 page life, so you probably won't be doing it again any time soon. It also includes new pickup rollers which help reduce misfeeds.

We turn off Ctrl+Alt+Del since I haven't seen a virus in the wild that tries to replace the GINA in a very long time. Hackers don't care about local credentials any more, they are more interested in online credentials. No AUP message; had one in my last school and everyone just clicked OK without reading it. Ease of access is left enabled and hasn't caused a problem for us (yet). We also have a customised background, like most others here.

Technically that would be the Atom-based netbook that the groundskeeper uses to check his email, but that's an exception. Realistically our lowest spec machines are some bottom-of-the-range OptiPlex 360 machines that have Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processors with 2GB RAM and SATA HDs.

One thing I will say about switching to PASS is that you need someone in your school to lead the implementation - and I really do mean lead. WCBS could not have been less proactive if they tried with our switchover, and had to be frequently chased to action things they'd agreed to do at meetings. If your ping test is being done over wireless, it's entirely possible this is simple wireless channel interference. In my experience Meraki kit is quite bad at auto-channel selection when there are other networks nearby. Have you ruled this out already?

Have you tried turning off SNMP on the printer port settings on the server? I know that cuts down at least some of them.

Sounds like autodiscover might be mucked up somehow. There is a hidden diagnostic tool in the system tray icon of Outlook when you have it open - hold down Ctrl on the keyboard when you right-click on it and select Test E-mail AutoConfiguration... That might give you some clue as to what's happening. Specifically, if the resulting log references a server that isn't yours, the problem is with autoconfig. Strange that it was working before the update though. Which rollup was it you installed?

In my opinion, it's not quite ready yet for non-home users. On Windows 7 the spellcheck is broken if you have redirected AppData and needs a workaround. The "Open with Explorer" feature in SharePoint Online is also completely broken, so if you have Office 365 and rely on that feature, stay away. Neither of these occur on Windows 8, so it's clear that there are issues with the Windows 7 build that you won't see on Windows 8. I can't help but wonder how many others there are that we haven't found yet.

The Rapid release for the forms update is on the calendar on 4th February. You're right that there doesn't seem to be anything about the Scheduled release. The "one or two weeks" is not a hard figure; the only certainty is that it's at least one week. Sometimes it is significantly longer, and it looks like this is one of those times.
