    Google has cached your Moodle site and tells me its 1.8.1, so i 99% gurantee moodle is your problem!

    Have you found any new php files, are files edited recently? I would suggest deleting your moodle install directory, save config.php before doing this, then stick a fresh copy of moodle in its place and add your config.php and replace any cutom blocks or code you have added. I've heard of similar attacks on moodle....

    Which version of Moodle are you using? Check you Moodle directory for any files which shouldnt be there, specifically look for any .php files which have been changed recently, or any files which were .html/.htm which are now .php

    Basic reporting system: Table1 contains a Unique ID and a Grade (Added from SIMS) | Table2 contains that same Unique ID and the Admission Number (Pupil Details) | Table3 contains an Admission Number and a Comment (Report Content) Table1 - Col1 = UniqueID and Col2 = Grade Table2 - Col1 = UniqueID and Col2 = Admission Number Table3 - Col1 = AdmissionNumber Col2 = Comment Col3 = GradeCopy I need to copy the 'Grade' from 'Table1' to 'Table3' but match that against the Unique ID and Admission number held in 'Table2'. I need GradeCopy(Table3) to match Grade(Table1) but check that the correct grade is matched against the correct admission number after being check against the Unique ID.

    I work with Moodle quite a bit both at work and as a personal interest but Im not a programmer. What I want to be able to do is build some admin tools to aid the use of Moodle to admins who either can be trusted with direct DB access or dont have the skills to create some decent queries to pull out the relevant details. So really Im looking to introduce myslf to PHP programming while hooking into a (mysql) database while specifically looking into Moodle dev. Does anyone have any pointers for me, using PHP libraries and existing PHP functions, calling those functions or adapting them, using API's what ever they are?

    2. In Moodle there is a the 'Advanced Upload Assignement' activity. - Student uploads work. - Teacher can view work, for instance if the student submits a word document all they have to do is click on the file and it opens. If they want to download it they just save it locally. - The Advanced Upload Assignement activity allows the Teacher and Student to do the above, the difference with the advanced version is the teacher can submit a file back to the student. For instance Student submits word document, teacher opens up word document and adds comments, Teacher saves the file and uploads it back to the Student. Student checks assignement or gradebook and sees the teacher has returned a file, Student opens .....Think you can imagine how the rest goes... Dont know what the equivalent in blackboard is though?

    Im not sure the book will give you full details on setting up Moodle from scratch. Get your 'server' enviroment setup first, wether it be a Linux or Windows machine, get your webserver running, get Mysql running and lastly PHP. Once you have these in place get back to us here and im sure many people will help and guide you.

    how does the cleo tool work, i know it takes the sims data and takes the correct associations but does it require staff to allocate the correct groups?

    You might want to start off with something like XAMPP apache friends - xampp This basically puts Apache, Mysql and PHP on your XP machine. So you now have a webserver running locally, from here you can start installing Moodle.
