Here we plug the speakers into the 3.5mm audio out port on the computer and then use a phono to 3.5mm jack and plug that into the audio in port on the computer (usually the blue port) and then the sound runs through the pc and back out through the speakers. hope this helps, you could have a look here for an idea for cables - Gold-Plated 2 Phono Sockets to 3.5mm Stereo Plug Adaptor > Maplin

What is this concept you talk of when everthing is completed?

its nice and simple and does the job...thats all we are really interested in for our department.

We use GLPI for this and also use the built in asset register and helpdesk part of it also. it is quite good and allows you to allocate cartridges to printers and enter and delete stock where necessary.

I can definately vouch for other companies sending small items in larger boxes...like one we recieved last week, it is a lamp for a projector yet it came in a huge box...pic is attached. tbh i was quite amused as i expected something else because of the size of the box.

We use the same system, if there would be a fire or fire drill then they just grab all the registers and hand them out to form tutors when everyone is at the assembly points. Anyone who is late in gets signed in by a member of the admin team and is then entered onto the registers. This seems the most efficient way at the minute.

I played the demo for this on the xbox 360 with 2 friends and it was great...seems like such a laugh. i hit a car and the alarm went off and about 25 of them attacked us, was good fun though. looking forward to Friday

I think it has come to a point where most people presume that almost everyone has the internet at home and even if they dont it is expected that said students would have access to the internet pretty easily with the amount of computers in schools and availability of computers in the community i.e. libraries and family and friends. To be honest i think the positives will out weigh the negatives and i think students today would almost certainly rather use the internet to find facts and info out rather than trawl through a book.

We use this method too where the first part of the script will check for a file with the computers name and if it is there it doesn't run and if it isn't it will run your script and create the file at the end so that it won't run again for that machine. we found that this method comes in handy especially when doing things like copying registry edits and other files to more than one computer.

I have just about enough of the kids ripping the keys off laptop keyboards and also tearing the rubber membrane "stuff" from off them leaving just the chasis of the board exsposed. We have been looking for some sort of protective cover that fits over the K/B or the laptop but have only really seen one site that offers this. We were wondering if any of you have found a way of stopping or decreasing the amount of laptop keyboards that are vandalised. It seems that alot of time is used up by repairing them and spending loads of money on replacing them. Anything would be grately apreciated

I looked at this when it happened to my box, i seen that people was doing all sorts to try and avoid sending them back including someone purposely over heating the system for some reason. Personnely i would just send it back as at least you know it will be fixed properly as mine was.

We have been told that ours is haunted but never experianced anything. People have suposedly heard things and even reports of a seeing a grey lady figure but i have never saw or heard anything but have felt uneasy in the library when the school is empty and when it is getting dark.

we have had simalar problems with the NX6110 series. In the end we just removed the catch mechanism, this is done by removing the screen enclosure and "unhooking" a spring. any way you caould always try AA Computer Repairs Centre, if we have any problems with our laptops we usually send them there. they get the work done quickly and we have had great service of them recently. contact details: Web: http://www.uklaptoprepairs.co.uk Phone Number: 0871 789 2524 Ask for Gem Watson she usually helps you pretty good. Afternoon all, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend me any good companies that do printer maintenance. I have done a quick google and i am waiting for replies off a couple of them for prices. At the minute we are just looking for a one off call out for a HP Colour Laserjet 4600. Also any good or bad experiances with any companies so i know who to avoid. Thanks in advance. Andrew
