We allow sharing outside a domain as we just got constant opposition, main thing is staff are mature and sensible when sharing files, at the end of the day we can only go so far, if they want to send it via another method they probably will

We've got a similar situation here, you need to get them to move it over to blunt to g suite, you can argue for the case it's totally insecure, GDPR etc, they aren't school accounts and maintained by the school blah blah We had it here, they were using Microsoft Exchange but using someone's personal email for Cover, a google account they had created for office work, a google account created for recruitment

You can set a policy in group policy for chrome to only allow logins from certain @school.trust etc, set that it should block them from logging it with it

How have other schools setup shared email addresses ie safeguarding, enquires and the various others Via Google groups and then just add them to a group or as a stand alone email address and give all users the password? We had a relief caretaker stealing bottles of orange juice from the canteen worth about 40p, like only one or two, it was a bit mad, as the site office had loads of coke, water, tea etc in it. Seemed mad to lose a job over 80p's worth of drinks but he was doing it every night. Got called into the site office and they said can we look at the cameras, we did and spotted him taking a few drinks every night. As he was relief he just wasn't asked back so no harm done.

Does anybody know what urls we need to allow to stop errors like this, when you go into a google group, click a message and try to click say the attachment or download we get an error like this, it works fine on an unfiltered IP

I think we've narrowed this down after a few more incidents, the windows audio service seems to fail, restart the service seems to fix it Anyone got any ideas, drivers are up to date on the machine as far as windows update goes

Hi Anyone have a problem with Sibelius saving on to networked drives, every other program saves fine ie Visual Studio, solidworks, 2d design etc but when the user saves it sometimes saves as 0KB? Anyone experienced similar? Thanks

Is the proper one or get the users to go options in office and turn it on/off.

We run our printers via script but then everyone gets the same follow me printer, obviously you can change the scripts per user group/type or location

Not much you can do, needs to come down to the teachers and SLT We had a bit of a dodgy room till this September, new teacher and he is superb in there, even anything little straight on it. We were going through hdmi leads like water, barely replaced any in months, shows what difference good staff can do. Only other thing I can think of is a bit of a dick and use tough love, if it gets damaged, close it for the day or more until they get the message or spend " a lot of time repairing in there" so you can't do other tasks.

No, checked that, file prompts seem to load fine etc just can't put my finger on it We've got all Windows 10 updates going through and up to date, so they should be doing any office 2016 updates/fixes that way

Seems to be happening with quite a few powerpoints. not massively particularly internet linked ones ie images etc. Odd thing is you can try to reopen the same powerpoint and it loads instantly but sometimes they just stay at 12% for ages then eventually load through. Yeah all work fine in Google slides but they don't want to use that.......

Hi We've got a sporadic issue where randomly you got to open a powerpoint it loads to 100% then loads to 10/12% and just freezes, never seen anything like, anyone had this or got any ideas? Office 2013/2016 Thanks

Upgraded most from 1803 to 1809 here, 98% went fine, one capitulated after update and two machines won't update, on the whole not too bad.

Hi We've got a few random issues of staff getting US keyboards after logging in, the machine are built UK English, set to UK English, when you check Impero it says OS Language English but a few staff are getting US keyboards when they login, any ideas? As far as we can see everything is correct, it never happened on Windows 7 Or is there anywhere to set this permanently in group policy

Hi We've got this odd issue which only started recently, if anyone trys changing the audio settings ie even change the volume etc, it is asking for admin login but only some machines it seems, all a bit random and strange Any ideas, guessing it will be something straight forward

We are seeing sense then, as we keep getting users reporting it's asking them to change passwords

Thanks, what about password expiry dates? If them settings are as above and the user account in the AD has password never expires not ticked.
