surely if you download to the server directtly and copy and paste it into the wwwroot folder there should be no issues with uploading in binary mode etc?

Hi all, I'm trying to get a share point foundation 2010 site setup as use as a daily logon noticeboard for staff, but I want to lock it down so only staff get it. obviously i can set it so people can logon to it when it opens up, but what i would rather like to happen is it to do a kerberos style logon automatically. Anyone able to advise on this in a simple way?

We are in the mists of a domain rebuild to reflect our new combined school (and rid ourself of CC3) Everything is hunky dory, except for working out the strategy with exchange.. I've read a lot on it and its still not too clear in my head.. The best way it seems is to move our exchange 2007 standard server on another to server upgrading it to 2010 but keeping it on the same domain, then migrating across to a exchange server 2010 in the new domain? Where I get confused is the way the usernames link, i.e. if i admt the users over to our 2008 r2 domain, will they still link to the same mail boxes as they were linked to a different internal domain name? We are going to give the server we are putting exchange 2010 on the new domain the same IP details as our old one so we do not have to reconfigure MX records?

Has anyone played with the server version of it yet? If I upgrade my server to lion server (via app store) will it still manage snow leopard clients or to improve on the service, have to upgrade them too? Hoping for improved reliability for network home directories (so imovie 11 works properly...)

do you mean maintenance mode in MPS. FMS runs and prints fine from what I can tell, just an annoying box at start up saying its not installed, whichi i know the bursar will pick up on first thing monday morning and think there is a problem..

I've just moved our SIMS server over to a virtualised one, but in addition to this we have moved our admin machines over to thin clients (Ncomputing on Multipoint 2011). SIMS works fine, but FMS reports that Crystal reports are not installed. When in FMS, reports can be run, but I'm expecting a bararge of calls on Monday morning that I've broken FMS. All the DLLs and Windows folder have been replicated to the users profiles and checked the crystal reports registry settings to ensure that they are pointing at relevant places. Any ideas?

got rid of the group policy so firewall is back on then allowed abtutor and now it works.... but i just want to turn the firewall off by gpo and not make the change on every machine

everything has been reinstalled from scratch, and the non server pcs cannot be pinged but they can ping the servers

Just reimaged all our machines and rebuilt our server and domain. Before we had a stable environment with Abtutor and sophos AV. No everything seems to have issues. our machines arent pingable from other machines although they are working fine on the network. in trying to get abtutor up and running again, I've played with the GPO and firewall settings and uninstalled sophos to see if it causing a problem but still no luck. any advice?
