You are going to have to contact your LEA I'm afraid. They prob have it configured to check for certain folders or such, or use a different user - which only they will know. Only thing I can recommend is did you copy the folder from old server or did you do a fresh install? If you did a fresh install, might be worth copy the old anycomms folder over the top.

Ahh k, the "test was via password" which confused me, SIMS\any MIS won't care, it just sees an encrypted disc. The only caveat would be performance, SQL loves disc IO and encrypting spinning rust KO disc IO. SSD are a must. Out of interest, what are you trying to achieve? Protection for when a hdd dies and needs recycling? I guess it isn't from physical theft - cause you'd need the whole server - TPM and all, also worth remembering its another thing that could go wrong. Still a good thing to do of course!

Doesn't matter if your system is 64bit. The field is 32 bit integer (number), the max is 2147483647. To be honest, you shouldn't be setting timeout, you should be fixing why it's timing out. Pretty sure if you need a timeout of more then 68 years you're doing something seriously wrong

Also why they are backing up to US, I'm not sure what this offers over backing up to a different availability zone. Personally, you'd backup to Azure (or such) if you were using AWS, least it protects you from your AWS account getting hacked.

Why? It's public money, you can look up how much a school spends and on what (admittedly at a high level - but you could FOI for detail). The whole idea of the G-Cloud \ Digital Marketplace was clear pricing\terms. How do you know you've got a good deal if it wasn't transparent? The school down the road might have got it for half the price!!

Got to love a crooked Capita SQL scripts that hacks data directly into the database rather then going via the business logic\API. Kinda undermines themselves when they say third parties must go via the API. Especially bad when someone's already done all the hard work

Throwing another options in the ring - https://mythic-beasts.com. They do a managed WordPress option but you'll be fine with the normal hosting. I have the shell extra then use wp-cli to auto-update. Mythic Beasts take care of the rest of the patching etc. It also includes LetsEncrypt SSL certificate for free. Really nice folks too (oh and they invoice)
