  4. More than likely, but depending on how old your board is. E.g. if you're still using DDR3 memory money will be better spent on upgrade CPU/Board/RAM than a new GPU as the 1070 is still a decent card.

  13. I normally support them till Apple stop supporting them with their Latest OS. We have one iMac 2011 which just had to be replaced as it didn't support Catalina when the rest did. I'd say around 8 years is around the average lifespan of a Mac. My personal MBP is 5 years old and i'll still take it over most of the new windows laptops on the market!
  14. I love UniFi, i use it at home but when it came to using it on site there was too many bugs and issues we encountered. I remember at my old site i had to regularly go around and restart UniFi points, not had to do that once with Ruckus. Ended up going with Ruckus for 2 main reasons 1) we already had an old ruckus system and was easy enough to upgrade and 2) price, yes more expensive than Unifi but compared to others it was well priced. We have around 90 Aps and 2 Virutal Smartzones, they run their own linux based instance so don't need to fire up a windows server etc. We also went with @Net-Ctrl p.s if you ask nice you might get a ruckus dog!

    Cricket

Was going to take cricket up again this season, after a 8 year break! Covid stopped it as had no time to go to the nets etc. My old man plays for the same team and he's not playing this season (first time in 30 odd years), apparently so little people playing in our league that the batting roll of honour this weekend included someone out for a duck!
  16. Hi All, We've had a perc h800 battery go full spicy pillow, trying to locate an official dell replacement but can't find any that look from a legit website or arrive anytime soon. We have a 3rd party one currently but that's the one that's gone spicy so would prefer to have an original one. Where do you guys source yours from? The Part no is x8483, model is M164C. Thanks Dalek

    Dead PSU?

Agreed, the 1030 is pretty much their to give you more display outputs, i wouldnt be surpised if that intergrated GPU is better or atleast the same!

    Dead PSU?

I had something similar last year, replaced the PSU and it still happened. Turn out it was the motherboard! If possible test your mobo with another PSU or PSU with another mobo.
  21. Followed by 30 seconds of panic wondering what it could be, then you realise you haven't flicked the PSU switch!
