  1. Same as others are saying, up the RAM to at least 16GB and get a decent entry tier GFX card and you'll be golden.
  2. Pretty sure when i approached them last time there was a starter kit that was mandatory and a few £K!
  3. We use Intune for all our Windows devices (and some Android) but for our MacOS, iOS and iPadOS devices it's close to useless (Well was last year!), but for your usecase it may be fine. I just found it very limiting!
  4. I tested Intune with iOS/iPadOS last year, it was dreadful. Can't even do simple things like wallpapers or app layouts! (Might of been added in the last year), if you can stick with Meraki for the time being i would. We use Mosyle, which is paid for but not the £££ that Jamf is!
  5. First band I saw live Motorhead, worlds loudest. They had a trick of turning down their amps so the house had to turn the up, then halfway through their set they would turn their amps up to max. They were banned from several venues!
  6. Mighty tempted to upgrade my 2080ti, but then i need a new CPU first as still have the 1800x which shows its age in the new COD, then will need new RAM to go with it... along with needing a new MacBook.... and Monitor...... xbox im ok on though xD
  7. Apple are doing a shopping event with Gift Card Cashback (Cardback?) 27th-30th https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/gifts/shopping-event
  8. IfFirePlaceExists=Y ReplaceWith-PizzaOven
  9. The last new thread was 2016, time to take the old girl into the woods and shoot her in the back of the head. Then bury her in a shallow unmarked grave, it's what she would of wanted

Is anyone actually using Stadia* *Who doesn't work for Google
  11. This is too deep for a Thursday morning
  12. O... I thought he meant the new WiFi 6 Unifi APs they've just announced! My Bad
  13. I tend to stick away from first gen of anything new, always seems to be teething issues and feeling like a beta tester!
  14. ^ This, personal devices should NEVER have pupil data on them and definitely not be being used for teaching etc.
  15. I have this box on my desk that does it all for me:
  16. -Makes a note to come back to this after the LTT review-
  17. Biggest disappointment is that the Air, Pro and Mini all have the same M1 chip. The only difference of the 3 comes down to battery, screen or other little bits no major power gain over each. imo Apple are setting up for the MacBooks to fail, so they can market more iPad Pros. They'll keep the Desktop line-ups for those who need a fixed machine, but the portable Macs to be replaced by iPads within 5 years
  18. I believe Parallels have already announced they will support Windows VM on MacOS running ARM, I mean if they didn't it would be the end of their software! I fully expect Dual Boot to be killed off though. Will find out in a couple of weeks when the reviews come in.
  19. Teachers have Surface Pros and Surface Docks (Pricey) Admin and Support staff who require portable devices have a HP Laptop with a USB-C StarTech Dock that also works with the Surface Pro 7 if needed : https://www.startech.com/en-gb/cards-adapters/mst30c2dppd
  20. Had to do simular recently, setup a Unifi G3 Flex Camera on the network. Decent video and microphone quality for the price! Does require something running the UniFi video software for it to be decent though, standalone mode was rubbish quality.
  21. We have students who have Disney + who have asked for it to be unblocked, it's not for education use for teaching etc. Just for their personal use. (boarding school). Don't see why this would be agaist their TOS and thus blocking our IPs. Will have to live chat with them...
  22. We contacted our filtering as we had the same issue, told us that Disney are blocking us and need to contact them. (Which i'm yet to do as i need a Disney + account to do so) Who's your provider?
  23. What Wi-Fi solution do you have? As you already mentioned, highly recommend creating a separate VLAN for guest traffic.
  24. Hi All, We're updating to the latest Adobe versions from 2018, so we are needing to uninstall the existing install. I've tried a few things such as the uninstall flag in SCCM for the existing package and creating an uninstall package with the Adobe packager and deploying that via SCCM. Only sure fire way is the uninstaller tool but unsure how this is deployable. I'd rather not have to go around and manually uninstall Adobe from every PC, has anyone got a working deployable uninstaller? If so how have you done it Cheers Dalek
