SAR Slack Request, Python Script

Have put in: print("Processing:", file_path) Which shows it going through the files but unsure if searching in the files or just file name -
Hi All, We've had a Subject Access Request and as part of that means i have to export all of our slack messages and search though them.. 8 years worth, 400 folders, 36k files. I don't know how to code so taken to ChatGPT to help... This is the script I ended up with (below), it runs but comes back with a result way to fast and no results, when i know there is files with the name in. What am i missing? import os import json import concurrent.futures search_terms = ["[email protected]", "Mr Placeholder"] folder_path = r"c:\sar\sar" # Use 'r' before the string to treat it as a raw string def search_json_file(file_path, search_terms): try: with open(file_path, "rb") as json_file: data = json_file.read().decode("utf-8") json_data = json.loads(data) if "email" in json_data and any(term in json_data["email"] for term in search_terms): return file_path elif "name" in json_data and any(term in json_data["name"] for term in search_terms): return file_path except (UnicodeDecodeError, json.JSONDecodeError): pass return None def search_json_files_parallel(folder_path, search_terms): found_in_files = [] with concurrent.futures.ProcessPoolExecutor() as executor: file_paths = [] for root, _, filenames in os.walk(folder_path): for filename in filenames: if filename.endswith(".json"): file_path = os.path.join(root, filename) file_paths.append(file_path) results = executor.map(search_json_file, file_paths, [search_terms] * len(file_paths)) for result, file_path in zip(results, file_paths): if result: found_in_files.append(file_path) return found_in_files result = search_json_files_parallel(folder_path, search_terms) if result: print(f"Found in the following files:") for file_path in result: print(file_path) else: print("Search terms not found in any files.")

Second Series of 'From' Finished On par with the first, only thing that keeps bugging me is the amount of new storylines they keep opening up and not closing or the multiple 'we don't know how that happens' to a lot of things!
-
This would be next thing to check then, check there isn't a GPO getting stuck.

I work for an ISP which also provides phone lines, i know for vulnerable customers we by law have to provide a battery backup for the phone and router.

Did you try via AirDrop? Never had an issue this way.

No longer work in Edu, only started to think to use Group Tags today as this tool makes it quick to add. Thinking of setting it to the various Departments, Tech, HR etc..
-
Used that in past also, but this is good if you want to do updates and add a group tag also (which we will going forward now we have 200+ devices in our list!) - - - Updated - - - Also forgot Twitter is now called X.....

Saw this on twitter (here), run the CMD during OOBE to get a handy GUI with various options to speed up Autopilot enrolment

Just been pinged by our head of marketing about Dorset Coding Day (didn't know this was a thing) but have signed up to talk and share career info. You don't need to be able to code, just talk tech. But you do have to live locally (Hello fellow Dorset people) Dorset Coding Day - Dorset Council

They do seem to be Team sites, so guessing need to stop users creating Teams then? so this : https://techlabs.blog/categories/office-365/stop-users-from-being-able-to-create-microsoft-teams ?

Bit confused with this one, recently had a clear up of all sharepoint sites, as users were able to create their own. I've turned off users being able to create sites in the admin centre and in the classic settings section... logged in today to see a few new sites!!! Any idea how users are creating these and how to disable? I've double checked https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/manage-site-creation and i seem to have everything correctly set!

TLDR: In Apple Ecosystem plugging in devices to move files is old hat. I tend to do everything via Airdrop these days with apple devices
