Our school manager has just got to me with a strange request. she is trying to log a fault with a circular saw and she gets an email back saying undelivered. she has forwarded me the email and it is all in chinese. the translation from google translate is just babble with the last line telling us to be careful of gin! has anyone come accross this issue before. it has happened a number of times this morning with various emails from her account.

I don't think i could be a NM, i get distracted to easily, probably the highest i could reach is senior tech so this is what i am looking at achieving, I am currently in a school with 1000 pupils, 100 Staff and about 600 devices (yep you guessed it, only 1 techie) and i hold no qualification that's related other than a GCSE in IT. Thanks Hightailstar and Griff, will look into them and see what the school is willing to put toward them. also most of the laptops and computers are Dell, does anyone know where i could find some training, i have tried the dell website but i cannot get the training because we didn't directly purchase the equipment

Hi All, A few years ago i did an IT Technician apprenticeship and got next to no qualification at the end (mainly web based training certificates) I am now the only Technician in a high school, What training and qualifications should i be looking to get. any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated
