  1. NetSupport School seems to be something would handle that. Not sure of costing on it however.
  2. Have you set manual coursebackups? These are triggered by Cron Script and could be running at the specified time.
  3. What sectors are you both in?
  4. Correct, he's not called Cashley for no reason

  6. I'm just glad you didn't omit the required space between those words.
  7. Ahh but your opinion may not be that of the collective. Everyone here is free to voice concerns but clearly there are people who quite enjoy the 'lighter' side to Edugeek. I'd say the appeal for me is that like minded individuals are able to freely express ideas and share stories (IT related and general) in a setting where mostly people can relate and impart wisdom. For instance, there was a thread not too long ago about buying houses, lots of good information was shared that may not have been given on other forums. Edugeek is more than just a site for IT related help, it's a community that looks after the needs of participants, IT related or not.
  8. It really is quite a sad state of affairs if people are unable to take general non IT related talk and find issue with it. As quite rightly stated, you do not have to view the general forums or participate in them. Whilst we are at it, I don't like personally people that would seek to turn Edugeek into a 'no frills, get your fixes here' forum. Should I lobby to get them removed?
  9. Ladies of the night will beg to differ.
  10. If this site was strictly professional there wouldn't be a 'Behind the Red Door' forum as that in itself is usually a place to have a nice venting session about boss/company/users. I'd agree that the technical forums are the professional side but the general forums are more lighthearted and should be viewed that way. If you go completely professional, you lose the community spirit then start charging for tech help like experts-exchange. I'd wager alot of Edugeek's success was due to being able to relate/communicate with like minded individuals, not the consumate professional.
  11. I go for straight blade shaves up in the city, lovely jubbly.

  13. Learning Technologist/E-Guide/VLE Administrator Basically someone that improves the use of technology in/out of the classroom and implements E-learning into a curriculum setting.
  14. This isn't the place to moan about not getting an interview. E-Champion's/E-Guides are tough jobs to do in any situation, even tougher when you have NM duties to do aswell...... Good luck to those that apply, looks a very promising job.

  23. Never used one, complete gimmick. Built hundreds of computers over the years and touch wood never had a problem due to static.
  24. Dodgy company for sure, no sign of the memory sticks and they've harvested alot of emails in the education sector. I wonder what they could do with that!
  25. Well we rent a dedicated box as we have around 40 members or so all putting a good bit of money in. Run multiple servers across many games etc.
