This sounds like the notorious graphics card burning out issue that has plagued Alienware for awhile. Can I ask what graphics it has in it? As for taking laptops apart, they screen is generally only connected by one cable and your likely not to have missed it. As I said before its probably a fried graphics adaptor - especially if its a geforce.

Best bet is to read up and with water cooling because you can open up a whole can of worms if your not careful. Leaks or bubbles in your loop can spell disaster for your components.

Oddly enough got one today for one of our SMT team to use at home. I have a feeling these won't be durable enough for kids to use. Felt a tad flimsy. We've upgraded the Ram to 2gb and runs smooth as a whistle with XP Pro. All in all very good but would worry about life expectancy in hands of children with stubby fingers.

Well your incorrect actually, the Antec 900/1200 is practically silent when you have the fans on the low setting. I've got 3 of the cases next to my legs cooling my test network down a treat.

I'll give a nod to the Antec Twelve Hundred. I've built a few PC's using that case and its predecessor the Nine Hundred. Best air cooling cases bar none.

Well I own Guitar Hero : World Tour and is simply awesome. The drumming is too much fun for someone that isn't even a drummer and makes for an awesome lads night in. Nothing beats playing Hotel California with the full band.
