Happy New Year. We have a weekly school bulletin that is issued to all staff. I'm think of having an ICT Top-Tip section - does anyone currently do something similar and do you think staff benefit. Many Thank

We are experiencing the same issue with two of our child domains, the third works fine. We are running Server 2012R2 on all the domains and have installed separate instances of HAP10.5 on each. On the two HAP instances which doesn’t seem to read the AD group permissions, we can list the OU’s successfully when clicking on the “Students Group” box. If we select ALL, instead of the individual AD groups the shared drives are listed. I have compared the working Hapconfig.xml files between the working and the none working instances and can’t see any differences from the setup. If anyone has any more ideas which haven’t been suggested above, they would be greatly appreciated.

When i select all instead of the AD group the drives appear, but then students can see the staff drive, even though they can't access it. Has anybody found a way of preventing students from seeing drives there not supposed to see? Thanks in advance.

We are trying to create another instance of HAP on the same Server which is Windows Server 2012 R2 and IIS 8 installed. The current setup of HAP is working a treat. Unfortunately, when we try to add a new instance, the page doesn’t display properly. Please see the image below. Thank you in advance for any support:rolleyes:

The agreement between Microsoft and the DFE only runs until 1st July 2018, what happens after that God knows. -
Kaspersky Endpoint for Business, ESET or Stick with Sophos!?
Hawes29 replied to SwedishChef's topic in Enterprise Software
We use to have Kaspersky which was a great product, however when it came to negotiating the renewal price it soared . We move away and now use Vipre, an excellent product and came with 200 free staff licences. :rolleyes:Happy days…… -
I called at the Microsoft Stand today to speak with a Azure specialist to see if it was possible to sync network home drives, but they'd gone to meetings - this would be better if they could.

I have installed and configured version 10.5 and I don't seem to be seeing any Drive mappings when i click on My Files. I can access the hidden shares from the Server and the user has the correct access because they map successfully on the computer. Can anybody point me in the right direction please. Many Thanks

I'd agree with itguywestmidlands build new Servers and promote them and move all the roles before demoting the old DC's and remove them cleanly.

We been using it for about 4 years and I have to agree with Sylv3r it's a great product. My only worry is that they are added loads of features which will put the price up.

I totally agree. A great event and very well organized. A big thanks Ric and Ben. *****

We used A5800 at the Core and 5120's at the edge.

We use Viper; moved from Kaspersky because of the increased cost. Viper gave us a 3 year deal and also included 150 free staff licences. We've had no issues with it.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and doing a bit of networking - can't wait.😃

We moved from TMG 2010 to a Cisco ASA 5525 x with the CX and Application modules. It takes some getting use to but very powerful.

We also buy from a local company called Kleen Strike based in Rochdale. They always provide a great service.

Have you used NAT to pass it through for firewall?

We just used the internal IP and added the SSL Certificate. I have attached a screenshot for you to see. I hope this helps.
