  1. To be honest, we only upgraded from solus2 to solus 3 two weeks ago after a server migration. I had to upgrade the clients manually using the console and also reploy the SIMS.ini and connect.ini so im thinking this was why they didnt auto upgrade. Now that the agent, client and .ini's have been deployed, im hoping that next time there is a sims update, they will definatly auto upgrade.
  2. Did you upgrade to 3.5? if so has it sorted out the SIMS workstation auto upgrade issues?
  3. I Logged on as the sysman user and gave the user supervisor access in FMS. The user could then create the new Financial year.
  4. Got this same error yesterday. Have you checked the users FMS permissions? Has the user supervisor access?
  5. Exchange 2007, Swindon. Currently planning for 2013 though.
  6. Do most of you guys have to take consumables, cables etc out of your budegts or are your figures purely capital such as PCs, servers etc?
  7. How many students do you have on roll?
  8. How many students?
  9. About 600 computers (90 of them iMacs and 200 of them Laptops) 4 Lapsafe trolleys, 60 Printers, 4 servers and a SAN. 76 Promethean IWB's
  10. Hi everyone Would anyone be will to share with me how much they spend each year on IT captial in their school? For example how much you spend on renewing ICT Suites, replacing servers and printers etc. Im trying to put a case together on a realistic figure for IT Capital each year so i need to guage how much everyone else spends. Many Thanks
  11. just the one. so are there other licences that i would need to add onto the ees agreement?
  12. We currently use EES for our licensing and i just wanted to know what other licences i would need for exchange? We currently have the Education Desktop platform package which includes the core CAL suite. Many Thanks
  13. Looks like adding the ip route done the trick.
  14. The switch is a HP 5406zl and its a layer 3 switch. Would putting the IP address of the SWGFL switch in the default gateway on the HP switch not route internet traffic then? EDIT: one thing i have noticed id that i cant ping the SWGFL switch so would this cause issues? It works because i can get the internet, just cant ping it!
  15. Im finally on the right track (i think.) In my dhcp server i had the default gateway of the SWGFL switch (as do all my other clients and servers) so i changed this to the IP address of VLAN 1 on the HP switch and its now dishing out DHCP address for the 10.74.220 range which is great. Now however, my DHCP server (also DC) does not have an internet connection. I have also put in the IP address of the SWGFL switch on the default gateway on the HP switch but still no internet access.
  16. Unfortunately not, I had to take a days leave so I will have look tomorrow.
  17. There is no ip default gateway set on the switch. I will do this tomorrow and see if this helps. Our current default gateway for servers and clients is the default gateway of our swgfl switch. Not the ip of the HP switch.
  18. yes its enabled.
  19. It will only authorise for the whole dhcp server not per scope. How do you authorise per scope?
  20. Interestingly is saying 2 addresses in use when i display statistics for the scope but no leases appear. Is it worth un-authorising and re-authorising DHCP?
  21. yes i have as its handing out DHCPs from VLAN 1.
  22. I set a static IP and i can ping the ip address of VLAN 100 and VLAN 1 but not the DHCP server
  23. I chose that just because it was the first one available in that range. 255.255.248 is also configured in DHCP for VLAN 1
  24. The ip range for VLAN 1 is 10.43.112.1 - 119.254 SN - 255.255.248.0 The ip Range for VLAN 100 is 10.74.220.1 -221.254 SN - 255.255.254.0
  25. Its in the same subnet and its the dhcp server.
