  1. Thanks for the response, James, and taking the trouble to ask. I wondered how ineligible my initial post was when I posted it in a hurry. I've now found out that you edit those distribution groups in Outlook/ Options/ See All Options/ Manage My Organisation etc rather than through the Office 365 Admin page. So problem solved!
  2. Hi Guys and Girls I've been asked to add a new member of staff to a Distribution Group in Office 365. I'm pretty new here and haven't done this before. Our email is hosted with microsoft online so I log in, go to Admin then Security Groups (we're synced with Active Directory) and list all the groups. The group that I want to change has a padlock on it and I can't edit it. So I look for the same group in Active Directory (Server 2008) it's not there. The groups that are in Acitve Directory have sync symbols next to them and conform to the listing in Active Directory Users. So how do I add someone to the Distribution Group?
  3. I've just taken over running a school network. On Wednesday morning Solus 3 automatically upddated the school SIMs system with the result that every workstation in the school bar one reported "Incomapatible Database!" for morning registration. Capita helpdesk were very helpul. I had expected a reponse something like "You need to change this setting to __". Instead I got five hours of editing congfig files and setting up ports in firewalls, and the problem still not solved compeletely. Is this a typical experience? Are there any steps I can take to avoid all this in the summer? Thanks
