Hi Ive just had a quote for a new SAN and 2 hosts to upgrade our vsphere environment and one place is proposing that LAN conectivity will be sharing the same 10gbe SFP+ link for the SAN connectivity. Is this a normal thing to do or should the connections be split up? eg SFP for the Hosts to SAN then 10gbe Base-t (rj45) for the LAN networking? Thanks

Just out of interest, when you uninstall exchange, does it remove the "proxy address" field in attribute editor for AD users?

We Increased the RAM by another 4gb and it seems to be stable. SQL already had a cap so i guess it struggled after the latest update as it needed for free RAM to work! The VM is now running with 18gb RAM.

Thanks. Did you just simply uninstall from Add remove programs or did you follow another process? Did you also remove all mail boxes before uninstalling?

Did you have to do anything on the Office365 or dirsync side of things? we have had our exchange 2007 VM switched off for the last 2 weeks and going to uninstall it as we are now on Office 365 with dirsync running.

Do any of you guys use 2x RAS? its an alternative (and Cheaper solution) to Vmware and citrix. Im curious to know if its any good.

A few things really, firstly so that teachers can BYOD and use some school based apps, and to deploy thin clients in the admin areas to try and save money on purchasing Fat clients, to to provide decent remote access.

We are looking at replacing our aging admin desktops with thin clients and implementing a VDI infrastructure. Im currently looking at 2xRAS and Horizon 6 from vmware. Does anyone here use 2x ras for thin clients? If so, how good is it? Thanks

Yeah. I restarted the routing and data services on SIMS Services Manager and it now works. Dont know why after a few days it decides to pack up though! Thanks

Now it says connection failed for admin message and template service.

Has anyone else had the issues where SIMS has the error "failing network request:retrying" in the bottom left of the SIMS window? It also appears where staff try to send InTouch Messages. If so, does anyone know of a fix? Many Thanks

Hi Everyone We currently run a flat network with about 600 devices and im looking at VLANing off the whole network. We current use the IP range provided by the LEA/SWGFL giving 2032 ip addresses i want to know if its better to subnet off this range or use something like 192.168.x.x? Thanks

I had a demo of lightspeed and iboss last week and iBoss seemed a much more rounded product but thats just a demo so it would be cool to speak to schools that have possbily used both. I loved the fact that it can also record screen shots of devices

Is there a way i can find out who is doing excessive file copying on the network as i think this could the contributing factor in our network slowness.
