The 5800 pair solution is probably the best VFM at the moment and offers resailiency in HP's IRF. The pair, or more, can be virtualised with a 10G link which can be in a different builidng. Beware the capacity on some of the lower end (and possibly near end of sale) chassis switches. e.g. the 5406 will only support 2 x 10G links at full speed per slot.

You can't go far wrong with either ReadyNAS or Synology fo rthat type of device.

Harry, given your other thread about this iMac, I think you have problems which are beyond the help of a forum! An authorised Apple Service centre is your best option.

Sounds like a major fault. The crackling sound you describe could be the hard disk 'hunting'. If indeed it is a crackling then it could be even more serious. I would take it to an authorised repair centre.

I have run this past one of our engineers. It seems that there is a single sign-on method. Meru & Lightspeed have an integration to achieve single-sign-on. If you speak to Meru again, they should be able to help. HTH Nick

What APs do you have, which controller, what version of SD, who installed it, what makes up your underlying LAN, how many wireless clients, do you have VLANs, what problems are you experiencing, what would you like the 'tweaks' to achieve?

I would recommend seeking advice from a professional network solutions provider. A phone call will cost you nothing.

Many schools and enterprises for that matter often spend more money on their WLAN without the investment in their LAN infrastructure. This can only have one result - moaning managament "You've spent all this money on a WLAN and it's rubbish". Call in a reputable network solutions company and have your current LAN and future WLAN requirements assesed at no cost. Without that assessment you could make an expensive mistake.

AC is already ratified at phase 1 and Meru have an established, proven AP in the 832. The price compared to a top quality 'n' device should be easily justifiable when considering numbers of concurrent connections per radio and the fact that they can operate both radios on ac at full power with only 802.11af provision. It's also worth noting that n devices have measured up to 40% performance increases using the 832 AP.

I checked my mac and can confirm that the 'Previous recipients' list goes all the way back to when the mac was new.

I'm not in front of my mac until tonight so someone might have to back me up but the following used to be the best answer. In Mail, go to the Window menu and select Previous Recipients. There, you can command-click or shift-click or Select All to select multiple names and then click Add To Address Book. You can also sort by Name, Email, or Date Last Used to make it easier to select the ones you want.

Yes, you can export an address book or if you need to acces the cached addresses, that is also possible but does require a little more digging. What version of Mac OS are they running?

Just don't make it a race to the bottom. The cheapest option usually has a reason for being the cheapest. £400 APs are that much for a reason.
