check what other electrical equipment is near the board when this happens. We had a similar issue and it turned out to be a power cable causing spikes.

Sending you huge hugs, I so understand how you feel. Just remember that without the chance and love you gave your dog he'd have been in rescue for longer. Take extra care of your other dog as she will be morning his loss too. the fact that you kept your emotions in check when you lost your dad and gdad doesn't mean you were over their loss, but loosing your dog has most likely bought all the grief out in one go. . You can't continue to hold it all it and at some point everyone has to grieve. take care and give you other dog extra hugs xxx

I have been asked to get some quotes to replace a minimum of 4 laptops in our SEN classes. The school are on a RM cc4 network so I presume as the laptops are replacing old hardware, licencing shouldn't be an issue. Just a case of swapping the licences over? Can anyone suggest a suitable laptop/supplier please. thanks

Wishing you all the best of the season (whatever you call it ;p) Spend time with those you love, and raise a glass to those that can't be with you. xxx

Can't decide if I'm looking forward to Christmas or not. Middle son was due home on the 13th but got diverted to the Phillipines so won't be home til next year. Feels kinda strange without the nosiest (and most childish lol) one in the family being there :$

Hubby has a tassimo coffee machine as he like frothy coffee. I only drink black coffee and much prefer my hob perculator. Takes longer but the flavour is so much better.

What to get for Christmas... What is everyone else getting?
Smee replied to abillybob's topic in General Chat
I've just sent my son his Christmas presents as he was due home for Christmas but his ship got diverted to the Philippines for obvious reasons. This year he is getting "How to swear around the world" book. useful I'm sure in his current situation Poo Trumps - same cards as Top Trumps but with obvious difference. Magnetic filings draw your own Beaver (don't think it means the rodent type!) :0 And various other daft and throw away things. Just trying to keep him and his shipmates moral up even if it does cost me a fortune in jelly babies -
congrats and have a smashing day. Don't forget to take a deep breath and actually enjoy the day

While carrying out my usual Monday morning search for a job, I came across this advert. Supply Teaching Jobs, Teaching Jobs | Aspire People | School ICT Technician Think somewhere there maybe an advert titled "Caretaker" with interesting requirements.

as @witch says it's just a case of sending a TA down to pick the work up. I'm afraid it is just a case of laziness with this particular teacher. And the software I use is PaperCut not whatever I said before, (sorry must be a monday morning typing rubbish thing :$)

This is a problem I have in my school and it has been made worse since the HT decided that it was too expensive for staff to colour photocopy so they now print everything multiple times! I use printworks free edition to monitor whos printing what to where and then at the beginning of each month print out a graph showing whos printed most (how many copies, how many pages.) I also have printer credits running on the network but thats just so I can see at a glance whos taking the mickey. When I asked the most prolific printer why she didn't use the mono photocopier rather than printing out a 30 copies of the same document I was told it was too far for her to walk to the photocopier (two flights of stairs) The staff think it's me thats being tight on printing but I've been told by the HT that there will not be any more money for toner! When we do run out of toner and that will be before christmas I will be pointing them (the teachers) in his direction. he gets paid the big buckets to face the wraith of teachers who can't print! Send your teaches to the SMT/phase leaders , why should you put up with the fall out of their decisions!

Can anyone recommend a printer repair company please? One of our kyoceras has bitten the dust with a "call service 2250:0029741" error message and it's no longer under warranty. thanks in advance.

I'm looking at job adverts in the hope that someone won't think I'm too old to apply for a job :$

thanks @phillyrovers I have no idea what they've done with the original install of Activprimary it's definatly not on their pc anymore but will let them know how to get the special primary feel back on the IWB ;p cheers

system restore is turned off on the networked pcs.

I think I know the answer to this one before I even ask the question! Called into a school yesterday, they have been happily using Activprimary for ages. One of the teachers has managed to update to Active Inspire (apparently it just "happened") Is it possible to go back to Activprimary? The school used the Activiprimary download off the website originally but that is now longer available. thanks

I take it none of you saw the bbc1 program on him (Murray) on Monday night? I think it was Tim Henman that explained the "why support England" comment and that it was taken out of context. Im not a tennis fan, much rather watch rugby (purely for the sport.....) but having watched the program have actually found a new respect for Andy Murray.

I had issues with one of ours. If you run through the service menu theres an option to "dev cln" run this a couple of times then restart the printer and see if it helps

the first year of loosing someone is horrible, it's always the first chritmas/birthday/easter/fathersday/etc without them. I lost my dad last year and at 40 something have become an orphan which sounds silly I know, even though I have my own children now and likely to have grandchildren in the not too distant future, I still feel like I've lost something I will never regain. I feel particularly foul this week, maybe it's fathers day having gone by. I've come very close to telling some people I work with some home truths that maybe they don't deserve to hear, I've also come close to just walking out today but I haven't. I've closed my office door and carried on. What Im trying to say is your not alone, even though we will never likely ever meet I and others here feel your pain and understand as well as we can the way you feel. Its ok to be angry, people will understand xxx

He said something about being 3% below a 2.1 and a possibility of going to the board? I don't care, he's got a degree, he's worked hard for it and I'm super proud
-
I called them first and checked Have been sending back like that for ages
