control ncpa.cpl Do you just mean the control panel commands or something more?

how do you do things like change database name and path and all that sort of stuff? Am I going to have to learn all the powershell commands now?

I think ARM apps are all Metro based, but RT also has a desktop 'app' VLC is making a metro app for x86 and RT will follow after according to the blurb i read earlier I happily use VLC desktop mode on my laptop, but on my tablet pc a metro app would be useful.

I was going to say check the external send connector but its strange that some are getting through and some aren't.

a distribution list has gone AWOL on my Exchange server and I want to be able to tell who disabled it, I have a log of who has been logging in to the server but what event logs will show when this distribution list was disabled (it wasnt removed as the group was still in AD) Or would I have needed to have some extra verbose logging enabled to be able to tell?

thanks sukh its for job applicants so its always a new sender, just need to auto acknowledge receipt of their email.

We have a mailbox we use to receive emails from external, Im wanting to put an automatic reply to acknowledge receipt of the email, Ive thought about Out of Office but thats a pretty crude way to do it I feel, is there a transport rule or such I can create for this or some existing functionality?

Correct, but with a 3rd party tool like Start Is Back i mentioned earlier that I found from another thread here, it lets you go straight to desktop. Its unfortunate indeed that it requires this addition and isnt part of the OS options.
