I know this comes up every month or so, but we are considering moving away from our existing AV and using MS Endpoint Protection now that we have implemented SCCM. How many of you are using it please and is there any reason against? Can anyone point me to a case study of Schools using MS EP?

Lightning is something I would like to learn how to photograph as well. We get some pretty spectacular lightning storms here.

How do you do a really long exposure eg stars moving across the sky? this seems to have a highest setting of 30 which is what that 2nd photo was taken in that has the car headlights as a long stream of light, but I imagine for stars etc it would need to be a lot longer? Also, if i was to shoot fireworks in the sky, what kind of settings would I want for that?

Thanks some really good advice. Ill print off the manaul tomorrow. Ive already got a tripod, those waves shots were using the tripod, the ISO set to auto, and then experimenting with various settings for whatever the other numbers are. Just took some off my balcony, these ones seemed to turn out quite well with long exposure. Its cloudy tonight so no stars to look for. Im going to set my alarm early and see if I can get some nice sunrise photos.

Took about 1000 photos this afternoon and managed to get these couple. I still had to go into photoshop afterwards and adjust the white balance to 'auto': On Saturday Im going on a helicopter tour of the city, its forecast for a bright sunny day. What setting would I put it on to take photos of the city sky line, buildings, sea, etc?

On my testbench setup OWA logins broke, I tracked it down to the forms based authentication not starting automatically. I had to change it to Automatic (delayed) to get it to work again. Also Im getting lots of wierd errors in OWA. I havent upgraded in production yet.

Ive been given a Canon EOS 40D camera and I have no idea how to use it. Is there any online tutorials on how to use this. I know you can do a whole college degree in photography but Im just looking to be able to take some nice shots. At the moment when its on Auto the photos dont look any better than my cheapy $100 sony point and shoot.

7 on everything untouchable. 8 on everything touchable. Exept my laptop im running 8 and cant touch it.

Ok, managed to find that file. But now Im having trouble mounting the .wim to add it back in to the captured image. Using the command from the linked page: How to Mount and Modify an Image using Dism /Mount-Image /ImageFile:C:\test\images\myimage.wim /index:1 /MountDir:C:\test\offline is failing with error 267 unable to access image. Any tips please?

I'm not sure where that is in the settings in SCCM because I cant find the tab to edit the unattend.xml .. does @FN-GM or @TheScarfedOne use unattend.xml with sccm2012?

Ok thats good. But I'm afraid I might need baby-steps for this one. I have a laptop ready to be captured. I have SCCM with MDT added. I have the capture media ready to run on the reference laptop. Where do I find the unattend.xml I dont see an option to edit it in task sequence editor... I log in as local admin in audit mode, customize the profile, then run the capture task from the capture media?

looks like im gonna have to just buy them a tablet like an ipad or some other junk

Thanks, I already have a reference computer ready to be captured I just need to sort the default profile so don't really want to go through a whole deploy task again, will just try adding in the CopyProfile step to the unnatend..

I tried the import method above, but in the catalog site I dont have an Import option, just a download button which prompts me for a local folder to save them to. How do I get them into Windows Update?
