  1. Hi Carmen, This help guide should hopefully help you. If you are having problems please feel free to contact the fronter support desk. Kind Regards Tom
  2. There is also some valuable page on London Grid for Learnings website, sign posting you to various areas of interest: mle.lgfl.net www.frontersupport.com which is the official fronter support site, this is mainly technical help rather than implementation however.
  3. If you are experiencing slow performance please ensure to log it with the support team. They may be able to run a trace route and find out if there is a problem with the connection. Also ensure that you are using the equinox1 proxy and that caching for fronter.com is disabled. With regards to the upload problem, if they are using the single file upload it could potentially take a long time but should not crash the browser. Using the multiple file upload for large single files is generally a better way to upload it as you see progress as the file uploads. If you are still having problems after this please report this to the support desk they should be able to look into this for you.
  4. The data that is sent to Fronter from the MIS system is dictated by the IMS standard. Fronter import the data that they are sent. If cleaning staff are present in the data export and exported to Fronter (as they are included in the IMS standard) then they will be created in Fronter. If you do not want this then you will need to lobby for the IMS standard to be changed. We have examples of schools where the cleaning staff have their own facilities room and use it for shift rota's, uploading and maintaining policy documents and involving the support staff in the school community.
  5. Hi, If you would like to contact me directly we would be happy to put you in touch with Local Authorities who have established their own help desk but also to speak to you about the support for Malta as part of the delivery. I will send you a personal message also. Kind Regards Tom Soron Fronter UK
  6. Hi, There is a FAQ about this on the support site: IE Error Message: This page contains both secure and nonsecure items warning in IE Basically the issue is that Fronter resides on a secure server; this warning is caused by displaying any objects on a page linked to from a non secure server (most commonly images). There are 3 possible solution, 1. Download the item that is not hosted in Fronter and upload it to fronter. This is the best solution as it will guarentee the image will always be displayed. 2. Turn off the warning, to do this go to Tools, Internet Options, Security then the Custom Level button. Halfway down the list of options under miscellaneous is Display Mixed content, this needs to be changed from its default value of Prompt to Enable. This may vary depending on version of IE. 3. remove the externally hosted content. Hope this helps. Kind Regards Fronter Support
  7. Hi, I'm sorry to hear that your experience of the fronter support service has not been satisfactory. We recently added a link to the bottom of the closing email you receive automatically when a call is resolved to allow you to feedback to us directly on specific issues. If you are unhappy with the resolution of a particular issue we would very much recommend filling in the feedback form and we will ensure that your complaint are addressed with you directly. Kind Regards Fronter UK
  8. Your very welcome, I believe that its possible for capita to run a script on the data set which identifies the cause of the problem and where in the database the entry is located. This is usually how the problem is resolved. Kind Regards Fronter
  9. Hi Dino, I would suggest logging a call with your local Sims support as it is usually due to an invalid entry in a user record and as a result the export does not complete (as you stated). Sims should be able to search the database and identify the issue in the data and resolve it. Kind Regards Fronter

  14. It sounds like your usernames have been updated to be USO usernames/passwords. If you are not familiar with USO (Unified Sign on) it is a service provide through Atomwide by LGfL which integrates with your AD so that you have one username and password which gains you access to ALL system. I would advise you contact your LA and they will be able to give you more information about the USO and how it has been implemented. Regards Tom Soron Fronter UK
  15. You will need to create a user template with the "User must change password on next login" option unticked. Once you have done this you can apply the user template to the effected group to change the setting for all the users in that group at once. How to do this is covered in more detail in the administration manual in the help button. If you require any assistance in this please feel free to call the help desk and one of the team will be able to talk you through the process. Regards Tom Soron Fronter UK
