While the PSU wouldn't be really up to scratch, you should be able to replace it with the one you've got. It doesn't matter where it goes, all it does is prevent bacteria growth within the loop, so it'll be perfectly happy in the res. Generally put it in there once and forget. While you can replace it every time you refill, it'll be quite content and still do it's job for a long time down the line. For some reservoirs, it's difficult to get it in and out, but you'll have no issues with the alphacool one you've got.

I've got the same res here. You're also right, there's only one way for the water to flow. For what it's worth, I've just dropped my kill coil into the res itself from the fill port. If you look, the in/out ports inside the res itself is designed to prevent stuff being introduced into the system (Well, it's designed to stop air getting into the loop, but it also prevents anything else as well). I'd say I've only got the one kill coil in this without issue, but as you say it's cheap enough that it doesn't make much difference either way.

We've got BenQ GL2250's here. We did have to buy new screws to get them on the back of the monitor (M4x10), but the monitors themselves were cheap and had what we needed in terms of inputs. VGA/HDMI/DVI for video as well as audio in/out. We've had no real problems with these, I must admit. We got our machines with decent specs from @Millgate. i3 4130T, 4GB ram and 128gb ssd. These seem to be good enough for student use, even when our media students are using photoshop and premiere pro.

Hi Chris. We've recently put 400 of the M73 tiny machines over our sites during the summer. We've since gone round and replaced the thumb screws for screwing into the vesa mount with security torque screws to prevent people pulling these out. (The thumb screws were seen to be too easy). Anyway, the replacement screws we used were normal M3x6 standard screw size. Unsure if you can find replacement thumb screws in this size, but you should be able to get other types of screws from many places. Hope this helps, Cheers Kevin Lincoln

Unfortunately, once again, that card doesn't seem to be listed under the compatibility of the gpu block. The main problem with these is that each card is laid out slightly differently, so some parts will be in the wrong place. What I'd recommend doing is going looking at http://www.alphacool.com/download/compatibility%20list%20ATI.pdf or CoolingConfigurator.com and finding a card that has a waterblock. The other option would be to go down universal waterblocks. These will allow you to continue using it when you upgrade cards, but it doesn't provide cooling to all parts so you'll still need some airflow going over everything.

(Edit. Double post) Also, the tubing you have picked is hardline tubing, so will need to be both bent into shape and also will need different styles of fittings. Unfortunately, I will point out, there is very little choice of blocks for the 270 or 270x. It was only designed to be a mid range card, so water-block manufacturers were reluctant to build one for it.

For what it's worth, I started off with this Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 360 DDC/XT - Kit - 11064 - Scan.co.uk Good bit of kit for the money and a 360mm rad will allow you to easily do both CPU and GPU. (Assuming, of course, you can get a block for the GPU)

I've tried using an open air case myself, in the past. (Antec Skeleton). I've found that it wasn't really any easier to clean than a normal case. I'd generally think if you get the cable management up to scratch and make sure the air pressures are fine to prevent dust build up, it'll be easier in the long run anyway.

I actually agree with this. I don't think any of the disclaimers actually have a leg on to stand on if something did go wrong, anyway.

As someone with a watercooled machine, I certainly can't say I've ever needed to control my fans. I've got them running at 7v (8x12cm fans, 6 on a 360rad and 2 on a 120). I've also got the pump wired up to the motherboard so it'll beep at me and shutdown if the pump ever fails.

That's only a membrane keyboard, certainly no mechanical switches from the amazon description or from cooler masters website.

I'm a long term played of the game, playing for about the past three years. Still enjoyable and my mates and I go into the various tournaments and seem to do fairly OK at them.

I wouldn't advise buying stuff for a PC rig if it's not going to be complete, myself. Warrenties and such are always useful when putting everything together and prices will have dropped by the time you get everything together for it. Edit: Disregard, just finished reading the rest of the posts.

I should get round to playing the Project Diva games. I have played alot of DJ Max Technika 3 and Osu, so might be the sort of thing I'd enjoy. I wonder if anyone has made a DDR hatsune miku machine. >__>

I have a 'gaming' one, I think I got this free from dabs when I put some other order in... It's done me well and I find it does help compared to the desk, but I wouldn't think that I'd actually buy it however.

For what it's worth, I can max out most games that I throw at my one year old 4gb 270x (Although, to be fair I don't play many AAA titles). (Actually, scratch that. I bought it for £120 new, it seems it's gone up by about 60 quid in such time)... but it's still a decent card for 1080p stuff. (Full Orange design here, but that's because it was the both the colour of the case when I bought it and also the colour of the cheapest watercooling tubes )

If I was building a rig myself these days, I'd go for a simple intel pentium g3258 for the CPU. Good overclocking potential for the price (£50) and CPU isn't really a bottleneck these days for games so the extra money can go onto the graphics card.

Just every couple of months around the door frame/window frames and the odd squirt into the corner of rooms. Seems to work wonders (Haven't seen a spider in the house for about a year, although they might just be hiding from me )

I just spray anti-spider spray, costs a couple of quid in the local hardware shop and seems to do the job.
