Sorry to be the person, but this is one of the few things I'd actually advise spending money on to get an outside company to organise. You wouldn't want to be in the firing line if the thing breaks when there is an actual emergency.

If you have a google account, try uploading it to google drive. This itself has fixed many corrupt files for me in the past.

You guys do realise that at the end of the day, Sony/Microsoft make very little from actual hardware sales, right? (At times taking a huge loss per machine sold). Most of the income is from selling games, (I believe they take a 20-25% cut as a hardware vender). It's one of the same reasons why Sony stopped allowing linux to be installed on the old PS3, you had people using them as home computers or buying thousands for a server cluster. This is the reason why I can see them keeping onto the current generation for a decent chunk of time. As the hardware gets older, all the various components drop in price to make and as such the machines themselves get cheaper and cheaper. Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid. The might be alright, but I've heard many a horror story about these Ancestry sites and the like being scams to make money.

We've got an alright sized room for just the two of us. The door is left open all the time, so students knock and come in when they need something. The school also has a reprographics department downstairs though, so they handle most of the calls for printer paper and media support for us.

During Term time it's smart trousers, safety shoes and a black polo shirt/sweater. Holiday is more relaxed.

IT folk seem to be good at that, quite often I've seen them group together for completely unrelated things.

I find white spirit good for these sorts of things, although it might take off any paint with it as well, so test carefully.

Unfortunately we seem to lose a huge amount of Keyboards and Mice here. The issue is that if no-one sees who actually does it, there is no CCTV so we'd never find out. The issue is teachers don't seem to really care the ins and outs why there isn't one there, all they care about is getting it replaced. We've found getting all the IT rooms locked out of lesson time helps slightly with this, but we've found that when there's a will, there's a way.

Garry: Nice to know you're still doing the Drum Corps, I remember always getting beaten by you guys as my days in the ATC. Best of luck doing this!
