Ya... Weird... I found that the thickness of the latest iPad 2017 made it not fit in the cases we tried, only a few mm but made all of the difference - iPad Air cases fit but ports were out especially camera hole. Looks like Griffin have pulled off an impressive hat-trick of magic tricks there, which I'm finding difficult to comprehend. Impressive. Well done to them, and can't wait to see some reviews of their cases. Good spot @Brimstone I stand corrected.

Hi all, the new ipad 2017 will not fit in any cases designed for other or previous gen 9.7" iPads - trust me on this, got the teeshirt. If you need cases, happy to assist :-)

You could reduce overall temps by figuring out the flow of air in the room. ie if you point the front of each device toward the door vent grille so air flow comes in and then is sucked up by the extractor fan you could see a noticeable drop in temps. not ideal if it's sucking in warm air but you could always use a fan?

Yeah, I tend to resell the 19" touch screen entry system with integrated webcam, DBS software and all the usual modules etc with a back up stick. That seems to be most popular. Keep on trucking though, it's interesting to see what you come up with. nothing better than tinkering, more fun than buying off the shelf

Hi @caffrey, it's a discussion I have often with customers - it can be done but it can be a burden too retaining reliability and manageability. You'll need the touch screen, Device to drive it (or an AiO/Tablet), cables, label printer and accessories, software, custom housing, brackets and what not and in the end it's likely worth the investment in an InVentry system instead. Sorry to be a neggers on a Friday; I'm sure you'll smash it, and am interested in following how you get on.

Thanks @LeMarchand! Yep, I think Flex Micro or Flex with height adjustable monitor mount kit and a hard glass monitor would work perfectly. They each have a cable shroud but the Flex has a pass through hole in the chassis for the KB/M USB leads, and the cable shroud you see can be secured with a locking screw or thumb screw - the USB and Audio Header you see in the pic below has been moved from the front fascia to the side panel for ease of access, but you could keep that on the front fascia too. Not a beautiful solution but hits the mark wonderfully and would work out less than an equivalent All in One for security Feel free to get in touch with me for pricing and evaluation @JHLEHS.

All of the top brass of VeryPC have parked their cars behind the building today and not in their allocated parking spaces in front of the building.. A couple of the neighbours on the business park are notorious for not tying their large bins down and they didn't want to risk any dents..
