I know this can be done in Outlook, but does anyone know how to (or if you can) expand a distribution list on Office 365 web? Someone needs to remove one person before emailing something out. Thanks.

Could you hook an Acer Revo on the back of the screen? That's what we've done here. A bit more than your £50 budget though I guess? -
Hi there, So the inevitable will happen - we will soon have many iPad's. But we need to make sure we have the knowledge and infrastructure to manage them. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of what needs to be in place? We are a 1500 user school, 11-18 years. Wi-fi is not bad - we have a fairly good coverage in the main building, but will need to be installed school wide to accommodate for iPad usage, so that is on the top of the list. Of course, other things to consider are - App purchasing, deployment and management Charging and physical security - some type of cabinet? I believe this can have some connection to updates etc as well? Web browsing and content filtering - we use Smoothwall on our PC's currently. Security - are virus' etc something to be concerned about? Students work. If we are using these as class sets - we need some way for students to save their work to their work area really as there is no guarantee they will be allocated the same iPad in the next lesson (or that someone else didn't just delete their work in the meantime) I am sure there are things I've missed, and these will soon become apparent. But I really am not sure where to start with this. I've browsed the Apple website, but there doesn't seem to be much of use there, unless I'm looking in the wrong place. Are a lot of the things we require likely to be third party? Has anyone recently gone down this route? Thanks!

Thanks guys - and Thanks Arthur - that's a really good list to start on. There are so many out there that it's difficult to know where to start. As to the Hudl Zeroneg - my concern would be the touch not being sensitive enough? My dad loves to learn new things, but won't have the patience for it if it doesn't work 'properly'.
-
Oh - is it just screen size?
-
Are there two different ones of the these? I keep seeing prices at the £100 mark and prices at the £230 mark - but always named Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Anyone know the difference? Thinking about getting my dad one for his birthday. Or does anyone have a good tablet recommendation? My dad isn't 'tech savvy' so nothing over the top, but I don't want anything 'cheap and nasty'. However, something simple to use without loads of things on it would be great.

Oh my gosh I would have been beside myself with excitement! Lucky you!

Too much. I really want one actually but the cost is too high. Many people aren't comfortable with replacing laptops with tablets yet. I imagine this will do the job nicely, but few people are going to pay that amount of money to find out. Once people are convinced that this is the way to go, then Microsoft could raise the price if they must. But people won't have the opportunity to find out that the idea is a good, well executed idea, because they won't want to spend that kind of money.

That is impressive - I am a maths student as well. Is this speedy to use then? I only ever use the equation editor in Word for typing up assignments, but I don't think I could use it as a note taker really.

I thought the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred was really good. I did it for about 12 days - it's only 30 minutes (that includes 10 mins warm up-cool down) a day. I only stopped as my OH change shifts at work and I didn't want him to see me lumbering around the room like a red faced loon as he would never let me forget it haha. Will have to start again I think.

What's Wordpress like? Is it free to schools? Not sure what's going on with Expression - just crashes on install.
-
Anyone used this? I'm having countless problems installing it. It just won't go on.
-
Yes I've done this yesterday to no avail. I think I will reinstall @mac_shinobi - taking too much time on this.
-
ooo which one is it @Danp? I am good at cutting things from my diet (no chocolate for Lent) but it has to be something specific or it doesn't happen. If I say 'no direct bread or pasta' then I can probably do that. I tried cheese once, but got tired of it appearing in random places so it would have to be 'cheese' not 'cheese hidden in pesto which is on the salmon I just bought' haha. Detox is the wrong word - it's just the one which is bandied about online for it. I just want the easiest way of eating more vegetables.
-
I've tried two other flash drives and they are acting the same way. It tells me the attached drive has malfunctioned etc. They all work fine on other machines. Would my best option be to simply reinstall the machine? I'd rather find a solution though.
-
Well my question maybe the answer to why they haven't sold many; "What is a Wii U?"
-
Ok - so are grains things like pasta and bread? I'm don't eat meat so can't just eat chicken like everyone else who tries to 'healthy eat'. I like that idea @witch - I think I will do that. So now to invest in a juicer. I'm hoping someone at work can lend me one (incase the novelty wears off - I can just give it back then!).
-
Yeah but I think the idea is that you don't have fruit juices but more vegetables and greens such as kale etc. things which I anyway, rarely get into my cooking through lack of time and laziness. As I said, it's not a case of losing weight, but more a case of putting more 'good' things into my diet. I could drop grains, you're right - but I know I won't suddenly start preparing leafy vegetables to eat in their place.
-
It's not so much about losing weight (okay a little bit - I'm not buying all new clothes in the next size up!) but I think it's a good way to have lots of vitamins - even if I just replaced lunch or something with juices. Just a little unsure of the concept when I see juices being sold online - don't they have to be fresh? I could just make them? I don't think it's the same one timbo as they are with milk? I have heard of those kind of things though - like Herbalife? (I know someone who distributes it - not something I've actually looked into though).
-
I'm not one for fads - far too lazy. But just seen a post by Mayin Bialik about this and it sounds pretty interesting. I don't eat nearly enough vegetables but I do like juice! So think I will try although not sure what to do exactly...there are companies selling juices (for crazy money!) online, but can I just make my own? And if so...what's a decent juice maker? Sure you guys can help out on that one - so many to choose and I don't want to waste money.
-
Hmm - it is trying to install the flash drive, but failing. So I will try tomorrow with a couple of different ones just to be certain it isn't the drive. (Teacher said she's tried different ones and I do believe her, but best to check!)
-
Yes it's Windows 7. We took all the data off the memory stick after it crashed, just in case. So it's simply a case of being able to use it for resources etc now. Will be after school when I can get in to try uninstalling them so will report back.
-
Yes the keyboard and mouse work fine - as normal. Not sure if the USB flash drive gets power as no light on the one I tried. Will take another one. That's a good idea - will try that when the PC is free.
-
So last week one of the teachers USB flash drives crashed whilst she was using it. Since rebooting the machine NO USB drives work on it. (the one which crashed was fine to use on other machines and works normally on them). When they are plugged in nothing happens, they aren't seen or detected in any ports - front or rear. The keyboard and mouse which are USB both work however, in any port. Anyone seen this before? Not sure what's going on!

Thanks Penfold. Downgraded the driver by one release seems to have solved it. Very strange though as the other two PC's in the office have the exact same set up and were fine. The driver wasn't updated recently so no idea why it's only just causing a problem.
