I've a few schools who bought a £3K white elephant voting system a few years ago but its occured to me that if all the pupils have a laptop/netbook/pad then they could just click on an icon and launch a response to a question without a separate device. I'm thinking the basic concept of teacher pushing question onto server and pupils answering and it being recorded against them and bar graphs being shown wouldn't be TOO hard to implement - don't think its rocket science. 1. Is there a free system already in existance to do this? 2. Anyone up for helping designing/coding such a system if not? (it'll help keeo you out of the pubs over the winter ) Si

Skyfire seems to follow the default browser/wi-fi setting e.g. uses the proxy but ignores the LAN IP exception instruction!!! Si

Ah- with you - if machines have "Pro" on them - you can buy one "VLK" or whatever the win7 equiv is(at around £33 I presume) and then re-image to your hearts content. I buy netboooks with home (or starter!) so I couldn't do this Si

What do you mean "the minimum number" ? I thought the whole idea of software licencing in the gblobal sense (rather than buy a separate physical product each time) was that you do a deal based on declared computer numbers or staffing numbers - you pay one load of money and then you can use the same physical cd/dvd to install the software across all your machines. @losojos I've found it comes with swype and I've changed it to use that as the default keyboard so at least that's one thing I've got working better

Google really really fouled up with proxy settings on Android it makes my blood boil when something so simple is not implemented by a firm Si
