Have managed to now get this working. I am using the Intune Prep Tool and then using this is as the Install command: msiexec /i "SMARTEducationSoftware.msi" NB_PROD_KEY={Product_KEY} ACTIVATE_LICENSE=1 EN_GB=1 INSTALL_SPU=2 PRODUCT_NOTIFICATION=0 CUSTOMER_LOGGING=0 LAUNCH_SYSTEM_MENU=1 /qn That seems to be working on our test computers although still fails on my personal computer. I can get a transformed MSI file to work on any computer but this will do for now.

I am using the whole folder structure when taking it in with the content prep tool. I am using a registry check on SMART Notebook to ensure that it has been installed. This fails as it isn't installed but if I look in event viewer the MSI installations all say that they have been successful.

Hello Has anyone had any issues trying to install SMART Notebook 24.1 through Intune? I have installed SMART Notebook 24 without any issues but I am having real issues with 24.1. I have used the PSADT tool with parameters added to an MSI Execute line and the SMART install manager to create a modified MSI install file with Orca or SMART install manager to create a Transforms file and apply it using the install command within the Intune App. These install the Smart Education Software package and then stop saying it is succesfull despite not installing Notebook, SMART Ink and the Gallereies despite me trying to install everything. I have used a detection rule to detect when SMART Notebook is installed but that doesn't seem to make a difference. The transformed MSI setup works on a standalone computer when installed but stops working properly once i have packaged the folders in the Content Prep tool and uploaded it to Intune. Any help appreciated. Smidsy

I would recommend trying to get a sports massage booked. The masseuse should be able to diagnose exactly what is wrong and start the process of recovery which you might be able to continue with the tennis ball. Have you ever used a tennis ball for massage before? It can be very painful if you are not used to it. When I was running I first used a massage roller, then a massage ball and finally a hockey ball for any tough knots.

I once took a screenshot of the users desktop with all of its icons and then set it as their desktop background and removed the icons. It took them quite a while to realise what had been done. They always lock their computers now.....

Thank you for the advice. I think I will set it up using Wordpress. I have a lot of experience with Joomla and I think it can be harder for non-technical people to understand its layout when creating new content. I would like them to be able to do this without me eventually. I have used Moodle a long time ago and it was well used for an intranet site we had at the university I was at.

Hello All I am looking at developing a new website for a school within our MAT. I have designed sites in Joomla / Wordpress in the past so happy to create it in pretty much any software. I want something that they will be able to maintain once it has been created. Has anyone got any reccomendations for a CMS that non-technical individuals will be able to maintain easily once the site has been created. Any reccomendations for a good web host would also be appreciated.

On Saturday I completed the Classic Quarter. This is a 44mile trail run from Lizard Point (most southerly point of mainland britain) to Lands End (most westerly point of mainland britain). It took nearly 10hours in consistent wind and rain. I have been training for this for the best part of a year after training for 6 months last year before I twisted my ankle and 6 months this year so it was an emotional event. Walking is now a painful experience but I can tick ultramarathon off of my sporting bucket list just in time to get ready for the birth of our first child. What I learnt the most is that even when you feel like you can't carry on just keep travelling forwards whether it be a walk or a jog and in the end you will get to the end. Good luck everyone with any upcoming events. I will be taking a rest from training and racing.

@jdoyle I ran those tunnels for the first time last weekend (while visiting) and the echo definitely takes getting used to. I felt like someone was right behind me when they were actually a good 50m back. Ran the Imerys marathon yesterday which was an interesting experience running around the clay pits near St Austell in Cornwall. 80% of the run was on trails which took their toll after climbing the many hills. Very enjoyable but won't be rushing back to do that one next year. Walking is okay so far today.

Our password sync is almost instantenous here in on Active Directory network. Unfortunately I have no experience of using it on a RM network.

Hello All I hope this is the correct place to post this. I am working for a MAT that has 7 schools in it. As we move forward a lot of our policies are going to start to be amalgamated (although many will stay seperate). It was discussed at a recent meeting for me to create / use a web database where policies can be uploaded and attributed to the school(s). The aim is that I can then add an iFrame on each school's website to a centralised page which auto populates with the selected school's policies. Advantages mean that our websites should no longer show out of date policies which I have definitely been guilty of in the past. I know that I can make something that will work with PHP / MySQL database on a central MAT website but I was wondering if anyone knew of a system that already did this or common pitfalls faced by people who have done this in the past. We have iPads in various forms some older windows tablets and some Acer Chromebooks. Despite the Chromebooks having been in the school the shortest amount of time I think that they are already having the most impact of all the devices. I am seriously considering getting another set next year to replace our old windows tablets. Find the GAdmin suite setup fairly simple

You can update the apps on the details page for each iPad accessed from the main clients page. Within the Apps section there is an Update button for each app. I have used this a few times in the past and not ha any issues. If you are only doing this for a small amount of iPads it shouldn't take too long.

Playing it at the moment. Find that a few hours can easily melt away when have the spare time. Long way from completing it at the moment. Just been up the tower for Faros and found out the back story for the apocalypse.

Happy New Year all. Managed very little run in the run up to Christmas. Did a couple of off road races between christmas and new year but pretty much resembled a giant blob running (walking) up and down hills. Back on the training plan as of last Saturday. Must lose weight.... Good luck all with any plans for races / adventures this year.

I have been asked to look at a better way to anaylse staff attendance and this looks like it fits the bill so far. The only thing we would love to add is the ability to generate the Bradford index for staff. This is worked out with the formula S x S x D where S is the total number of separate absences by an individual and D is the total number of days of absence of that individual. I can see that all the required information is in the workbook to create the formula but I don't have the excel capabilities to include it into your great work. Would this be something that you could look at trolley01?

Not done a lot of training recently but did the first running of the Fordh Sen Mighal run on Saturday. This follows the St Michaels Way walk from the North Coast over the hills behind St Ives to the South Coast. That would have been a hard enough 11mile run by itself but off course it was chucking it down the whole time. Could barely walk up the stairs yesterday and they aren't much better today! Going to have to make sure I move a lot today otherwise I might not be able to get up from my chair.

Have you considered using a headtorch. I have seen this one used by many people and it is definitely bright enough: https://www.alpkit.com/products/gamma. They have other products but I haven't seen them in use so can't recommned them. I have the indigo but I wouldn't recommend it as being bright enough.

Lacking inspiration at the moment to get outside and run. Have some big races coming up next year but they feel so far away that they aren't making me want to train. Going to try to do some other sports (playing squash tomorrow) to find my mojo. Pretty sure it is located somewhere under the sofa.....

We have the following: Staff AUP - all staff and regular visitors sign, infrequent visitors are given copy at reception KS1 Acceptable Usage Rules - 7 rules that are pretty simple about looking after the equipment KS2 Acceptable Use Agreement / E-Safety Rules - 11 rules written by the pupil council that include more complexity Social Media Guidelines - guidelines because we know that some staff (as parents of the school) will break the rules E-Safeguarding Policy - outlines everyone's responsibilities and includes extra stuff such as sanctions etc Most of the policies were lifted / modified from the 360 safe (https://360safe.org.uk/) framework which we use to guide our online safety provision.

Our network celebrated its ten year anniversary in september (05/09/2006 13:59:49). Seems to be working so far.....

Ran yesterday morning in thermal base layer, t-shirt and shorts. I was too hot at times when running up hills but just means a little bit extra sweat. I then carry a race vest with a bladder for drinking from on my longer runs. In the spare space I carry a waterproof top, gloves and buff which I can use to keep warm or dry if the weather changes.

Would use the local scrap heap and will get some money back for the school. The scrap heap should give you a disposal note which you can then tie into your records to prove they have been disposed of correctly.

We run a similarly cumbersome workflow here for our Facebook posts. All of the posts / images / videos come to me and then I post them up. Its really the only way to ensure that the quality / format is kept the same for every post. It also means that I can put some up to date information on the school website to try and keep parents visiting it. If you were going to use multiple people then you would have to agree a set of rules / standards for what can be posted.
