So essentially DFS does not see the deduplication? it follows the pointer as such. Also interesting regarding the backups.
-
Currently looking at implementing deduplication too, biggest worry is with DFS, do I need to install deduplication on both data servers? Thanks

Hi, I've been trying to find some documentation on up to date information for setting up thin-clients to a RDP server, but can't seem to find anything that is currently relevant/has up to date details. Essentially I have about 27 old AIO machines that I have just replaced. We also have an RDP server set up for the students to work from home, this is not being utilized during the day. What would be the best method to get these machines to connect straight to an RDP session?

Neither... From what i've read the Vlan is just for isolation - not performance, which I didn't really see the point of doing for 3 phones. Actual call quality is fine when the phones are working. although my handset does get progressively more "buggy" the more the network is under load, for example when I image a classroom. Just reset the PBX again and its suddenly kicked into action?!
-
I'm going to restart the system again tonight, i'm also tempted to move the pbx to a less busy switch.
-
I have also tried connecting my phone to the same switch as the PBX but no difference there.
-
It is connected to a GS727TP Netgear switch in my office which then links to a Cisco SGE2000 of which the PBX is connected to.
-
I do have access, but i'm not confident enough in my knowledge to start playing with the configuration.

Via The telephone company that installed it - currently pestering them, but they are going a little slow..

Re-Built DNS now some websites won't respond?
ataylor replied to abillybob's topic in Windows Server 2012
We had some issues earlier on in the week with DNS, although it resolved its self before I could figure out what was wrong with it. -
We currently have 35 phones on site 3 of which are IP phones. The IP phones have been working "ok" until recently, the handsets lag when entering numbers often missing digits. If anyone phones me internally the call either drops or no voice can be heard either end and on occasion the phone won't even register to the phone system (no sip server found) I am confused what is causing this. I would assume that it is a QoS issue although when a call does actually make it through, the quality of the conversion is fine. We are currently on a NEC system.

Windows updates is telling me that a new video driver is available but it fails to install. Feels much smoother outside of tablet mode too!
-
Touch works, Rotation works, Camera works. It installed a bunch of updates after which has put it into a kind of tablet mode forcing all my programs to run full screen. Still playing with it as I've not used a windows 10 tablet before. I'm sitting around 60% memory use IDLE with only task manager open Just running a few more updates now. Edit: - Figured out how to disable tablet mode!
-
Win 10 now installed, seems fine, its just moaning about a display driver at the moment - posted from my Win 10 Linx 7 tablet
