Just double checked with our DPO and it seems to be the consensus! We have a collection of permissions for internal use (e.g school displays) and permissions for publicity usage (Images used in the press, on the school website, twitter, and promotional material or by third parties recording events students may attend in school or on a visit from school.) Also - how do we stand in the event of video evidence for curriculum use, for example recording evidence of a student playing the drums, a drama project or Photography where they take photos of one another to manipulate on Photoshop?

Recently our PE Dept did a Sports Personality evening of which contained many videos of the students - We have gained permission to use these students Photographs/Footage for publicity purposes (twitter/FB/Newspaper etc) and internal use. Where do I stand when a parent has requested footage that includes their child and other students? Would I have to gain explicit permission of each parent/student(if 13 or over) for this footage to be passed on to the parent?

This is what I see, Device Licence lets us untick Creative Cloud Desktop Application. I was interested in changing our licencing to the following that was sent to me by Pugh, although our account manager there says Adobe are not being very forthcoming about the details of the new licencing structure, the last thing I want is all our users having to sign in! " Adobe have announced the availability of Adobe Creative Cloud named user licenses for just $5 per license, minimum purchase of 500 users per school or 2,500 users for a district. Students can now continue their school work with Creative Cloud at home, not just in the classroom."

Consent form for photos
ataylor replied to mikeprice's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
I assume we need the same permissions from staff as they start employment? Do we have permission for their Biometrics & Photographs? -
I think I fixed it in my SCCM deployment, I put the following into a Sysprep file as part of the deployment. EDIT: having trouble formatting text, PM me your email and i'll ping my xml file over.

GDPR - Managing consents

So the question is - has the UK decided to lower the minimum age to 13 in the UK? -
GDPR - Managing consents
ataylor replied to Jamman960's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
After a quick read of that it also states that: "Parental consent will always expire when the child reaches the age atwhich they can consent for themselves. You need therefore to review andrefresh children’s consent at appropriate milestones." -
I've been trying to submit a news update on our site since 6:30 this morning >.> I can't get them on the phone either, lines are busy - someone else must have beat me to it!

Article: GDPR in Schools - EduGeek Members Offer
ataylor replied to Dos_Box's topic in Legacy CMS Comments
We have just purchased into the product and we are having issues with it. As above, there is a huge list of supplier although there is a few missing from the list that we need. Currently adding suppliers isn't functioning properly for us, when we add new ones it deletes our old ones. Also each time you click on the supplier page, it provides you with a huge scrolling page that you need to go all the way to the bottom and click next to see the suppliers you have already added. -
Just had a quick look, it does have simple reporting tools for how many streams have been viewed of each category. 332 Pods streamed since the 01/01/2018 - mostly English lit followed by science, history, drama & Maths.

I had issues with the proxy settings my self when downloading updates, i run the management console from my computer but log into it with a user that has permissions. I had to log into that user on my computer first and set the proxy settings for it. if that makes sense? -
Oh also - I tested the laptops connected to a Cisco AP on Friday. I encountered similar issues.
