Smartboard flickers when turned on. I tried another bulb that works on my co-worker's projector but that DID NOT fix the problem, still flickers even with a working bulb. The projectors are identical UF55. Opened up the projector and cleaned with compressedair but that did not solve issue either. Could it be a faulty color wheel?

I am running smartboard on a Windows XP desktop. The smartboard turns on, all software is installed but I don't see the desktop on the smartboard, only the smartboard logo, projector is turned on. Please note, I am NOT running Windows 7 so the "duplicate/mirror" feature is not present. I am running Windows XP. Tried changing the resolutions, no luck. I tried the extend button but that doesn't work either. Help please, thanks!

Poor Catholic school, they won't upgrade this one comptuer. I have to make it work. This problem is driving me nuts. I don't see any selection to choose duplicate or extended.

Oh not big at all but the problem is the teachers don't communicate with me about computer problems. I set up an email address for them to email me, didn't work. Now I go around each day with a clipboard asking if they have any issues. There are only eight teachers so eight smart boards. Right now I have one that has a color wheel issue, another one the teacher claims the fan is going out, etc. I have 20 Lenovo desktop all-in-one computers in the technology lab, they are in good working order thankfully, have never opened one of those up so not sure how hard they are to fix.

You are right! I don't have much time for I.T. support and I'm getting complaints. The school seems more concerned with I.T. support so that's what I'm focusing on.

Colors are off on smart board. I read that you can buy a cleaning kit but wouldn't it be easier to clean manually by taking apart? Thanks.

The desktop IS showing but not the windows I open up, internet or file windows are out of sight. How do I change to duplicate? I am using Windows 7. Smartboard is SB680

Hi Everyone, I'm an Art and Technology Teacher and.... I.T. Support in Brooklyn NY I was hired to teach art and technology but was also told I would be the I.T. support person since they don't have anyone to do that(have A+ license). I teach and fix smart board all day!
