Totally agree Bodminman life is just so hard. I want to know what they aim to do for the single people who have to run a home. We all have a hard time but the gov want to make it look like you only get tax breaks etc if you'r married. What a load of sh1t we working people whether married or not should not have to struggle the way we are in this day and age. Seems to me there is something not right with this whole situation, makes you wonder why work at all? I do work because my ethics would not let me sit idle but it is damned hard wondering if I can heat the house or even as basic as buy decent food.

Totally agree @AMLightfoot it is getting harder and harder to get by. There really should be a difference between being in work and not. People should not have to struggle this much just to get through an impending winter. Before all the wear another jumper brigade jump in being warm in your home should not be a luxury but rather a basic right?

Well now autumn has set in and what news today. SSE upping bills by 8.2%. How on earth do these people expect folk to find the money to heat homes when a vast majority of them have been living with wage freezes for the last few years!!! I fully expect the rest of the 'big six' will join in the fun of screwing us all over.

They have hornets rather like that in Texas where my son lives and frankly they scare the living **** out of me!! Not to mention the Fire Ants, Scorpions and Rattle Snakes!!!

Sliding down the banister of the stairs when working in the jail only to find I had slashed my T shirt on a piece of jaggy varnish enroute!! These days it is chair dancing to some funky music on youtube while trying to get the guys in my office to join in only to be told I AM OLD!!! lol

I for one would never pass a numeracy competency test. I have very severe dyscalculia and the very thought of doing any kind of numerical testing would freak the hell out of me. I have however managed over my life to find strategies that work for me. What do we do for the kids like me who CANNOT make the grade?

We get our gear bought by school from Arco so my boots are Trojans. I find wearing these better than my own footwear as when under a desk the carpets here wreck the leather on the uppers. I would rather wreck work bought footwear than my own. Same goes for the cargo pants etc.

My friend got himself two hives last weekend unbeknownst to me. Saturday evening my cousin was down visiting and as we sat in my yard we noticed loads of little honey bees around my shrubs. We were both delighted and had a blether about the bee population and the issues they face just now. Turns out these were some of my friend's bees how cool was that?
