This is a shot in the dark... Search regedit for the following entry: DeviceMetadataServiceURL change the URL to the following: http://dmd.metaservices.microsoft.com/dms/metadata.svc Then reboot and try again.... Again, a shot in the dark...

Offtopic, but I remember our old SIMS server which the LA provided (before we left the LA) had 8GB of ram on a 32bit OS. LOL! Ontopic, you say sysprep fails? Maybe a broken install??? What switches are you using? Running sysprep directly or from CMD?

I have seen on other forums people saying they can't seem to have a blank password with Windows 10, unless there is a hidden object in GPO.... Would be interesting to know if you can get users to use a PIN, but that maybe only a Microsoft Account thing. Win10 is a no go for us at the moment due to some settings frustrating us.

I'm not sure if Windows 10 won't allow you to have a blank password... However, are you on the right domain function level? Imported the latest Windows 10 Admin Templates?

Creating a users on a Windows 10 machine, setting up and then copying the profile across after editing registry permissions etc. Worked with Windows 7.

We are slowly getting there with a 10 profile, however after moving the v5 profile over when we logon a user the start menu dont work! You click it and nothing happens, same when clicking the Action Center. If we just copy our Window 7 V2 profile it does work just doesn't have any new settings for Windows 10. Start Menu seems a right pain to customise, managed to do that and export the layout but sometimes tiles will just not show (before we broke the start menu with a man profile... )
