  1. "Remember the US has separated politics and religion as part of its constitution" Have they? Constitutionally maybe, in reality I suggest not.
  2. We're having issues with Cubase 6 Artist on windows 7, with disappearing sounds for all users bar admin, have already given read access to users on the folders you stated, and the sounds are still disappearing. Anything else you can think of? thought of copying the sounds to default/appdata/roaming/steinberg/vst sound - failed thought their might be appdata folder in all users their isn't, there is a steinberg/content/vst sound folder containing all the sounds, given read access to that - didn't work. Getting stuck for ideas now.
  3. JD for me - though do occasionally dally with larger (becks or stella)
  4. Seen Laurel and Hardy on the list but not the wonderful Marx brothers films - day at the races and night at the opera which are fall of the chair funny. Also some of the Abbott and Costello movies, saw one on TV recently and haven't laughed so much, in fact laughed till I cried, was so funny
  5. Hi, Just come across this site - www.innovatemyschool.com. Still early days but looks like it could be really useful, particularly with the user reviews. Something that has not been done properly yet. Thoughts anyone?
  6. Or Download the touchpad on off utility, incase it's been turned off.
  7. use net send - but be aware wont work if you have messenger service disabled
  8. Have a look at fireshot, it's a plugin for IE and firefox it lets you print and save long webpages. It's excellent.
  9. try here Jim Harrison's ISA Tools Repository Also here http://www.isaserver.bm/ url sets for all versions of Isa server and lots of nice tools too.
  10. Just checked the BBC looks like the weather you all seem to have is heading our way:( as long as it gets here after 4pm I don't care, otherwise a wet bus ride home awaits me booooooo
  11. 23 degrees not a cloud in the sky and breezy - generally a lovely day:)
  12. No problems here either runs fine for eportal. Tested on ie7 and 8.
  13. We got around this successfully(MX 2004) - but the only way we could do it was to allow 'everyone' full control of C:\ drive. Kids can't see the C:\ drive, so I'm not to bothered doing this. I know, I know security, but if there was another way we'd be using it. This works no matter what the image size and no matter where in there home directory they save it.
  14. Anyone know a way to successfully kill https proxy sites with isa 2006, I can put them in the deny domains, I put every variation I can think of in the deny urls and they go away. They then start working again a couple of days later:mad: At least the https addresses will, it's bugging the hell out of me. any help graciously accepted:) I've even put the domain into our sonicwall box content filter but the https addresses bypass that aswell:mad:
  15. Version 5.6 runs fine on 64 bit XP don't know about Vista 'spits'
  16. Found the issue to be registry related - HKLM/system/currentcontrolset/system/usbstor - if start is set to 4 USB wont work needs to be 3. The only way around it I found was to push out a reg file in my start up scripts that changed that setting - so far so good, seems to be working:) Added this line to my start up script %systemroot%\regedit.exe /s %logonserver%\netlogon\usb.reg and exported a reg file (usb.reg) with the correct setting in it.
  17. All teaching staff are allowed to use USB flash drives, kids not. Since last week all usb flash drives are not being recognised, I am using usbdlm to map usb drives to an unused drive letter. When you insert the unrecognised drive you get a quick double beep in windows and drive will not appear. Weirdly if you put a usb that has not been in that machine before it will be recognised and the one that wasn't will then work fine:confused: Seems to be update related, but I can't see how, I say this because I've reimaged(XP and SP3)a machine and usb works fine, after updating windows and restarting the same thing happens:confused:
  18. The program is brilliant many thanks:), one issue I've come across when I run it on one server to look at user Home diretories, it stops searching when it gets about halfway through the A's and says task complete. The server has about 160 gig of staff and pupil home directories on it. I've run it on our shared area on a different server and it works fine....
  19. We had a similar issue and found that adding &fmt=16 or 18 or 22 to the end of the movie url made the clips play. i.e. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTG5isJYURc]YouTube - My whole world in my hand[/ame] wont play but [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTG5isJYURc&fmt=16]YouTube - My whole world in my hand[/ame] works fine.
  20. Try moodle costs nothing apart from time to set it up and works perfectly well. Glad to hear about Assimilate, we are a BSF school in Liverpool and we're having this sh1t pushed at us with no option to change, although we are quite happily using moodle. Assimilate is going to be the LDL BSF front end, they say - laugh I nearly cried:mad:
  21. Does your sonicwall box have a content filer enabled - I found that the sonicwall content filter (sonicwall 4100) has an MP3/Streaming Filter enabled by default once removed all returned to normal again.
  22. Right after three hours of playing I have now come the conclusion it's ISA that is causing the problem. Testing has proven that second life works well straight out to the internet, it also now works through the sonic wall box (although had a time error at first). Just will not work through ISA 2006 (ports on the sonic box are replicated on the Isa box), have a few more tests to run on the isa box to try and determine whether it's a routing issue or something more complicated going on.
  23. Wireshark was always in my plans, Hadn't tried/seen the secondary connection before will give that a try, the other ports are what I already had open.
  24. I am attempting to get access to second life for the school through isa 2006, have enabled all the ports as recommended on the second life site, had a chat with the company that the school has hired to create our schools second life environment to make sure all the ports are correct(they are). Can get as far as the login box. When I try to login I get the wonderfully helpful message(something appears to have gone wrong - WTF I know that FFS!!). Must explain we use isa as a back firewall behind a sonicwall 4100. Going to spend the next 3 night after school troube shooting this so any help/advice would be gratefully accepted.
  25. No special addons apart form the usual(java, flash, shockwave etc.) In fact firefox probably has more addons running.
